One of my favorite days of the year….the day I bec One of my favorite days of the year….the day I became a mom to this beautiful girl a short 36 years ago! Forever grateful for every day I’ve had a sideline seat to see her live and love, struggle and conquer and all with such grit and grace. You are beautiful inside and out my darling girl and I’m so happy we got to have some sweet time to catch up today.

Okay, okay…I promise this is my last post about re Okay, okay…I promise this is my last post about retiring! For those of you that don’t know, the Jack K Williams building on campus is a very popular spot for Aggies to take their graduation pics. Most recently, graduates have made their way into the building and not just the front porch. I’ve been lucky enough to call this beautiful building home for the last 6 years and decided a retirement photoshoot was a must and @holdenmcbertyphotography made this a fun time for me! Many of you have asked me what’s next and honestly, I don’t have a concrete plan. I loved my job but as another friend mentioned recently, good leaders know when it’s time to step aside and let someone else shine. I am going to head back in October in a part-time capacity at least for awhile that will ease the transition but I’m looking forward to the freedom and flexibility in my schedule to discover things I love that I may have set aside while building a career. And of course the extra time to spend with people I love is at the top of my list. I’ve also been keeping a list of things I want to try and day trips to sweet little towns nearby I want to visit. If you have some suggestions or want to join me let’s go!! My mom wrote about retiring in her journal and the biggest takeaway over and over for her was that she wanted to live in the moment. I’m thinking that is a motto I could stand to adopt! This is not a time to be small, there is a lot of room to grow and explore and be purposeful!
