Currently August + TBB Linkup
The first day of August, say what? I’m joining Anne of In Residence to share what I’m currently following, ordering, pinning, watching and counting.
FOLLOWING | To most of you this will sound SO ridiculous and boring but I’ve personally been following the major league baseball trade deadline! Yep, when you have a son playing in the minor leagues it’s a big deal. Especially when you have already booked plane tickets to Cali to see him. Ha! It looks like he’s staying put for now.
ORDERING | Well, if you haven’t heard there’s an anniversary sale going on and I have done my fair share of ordering. I’m still waiting around for quite a few items I wanted to try. I already shared the finds and flops I’ve received so far. These shoes are clearly currently one of my favorite finds and I’ve already worn them two days in a row this week. They come in black, white and a pink suede also. Do I need them in black too? Ugh…decisions. I really needed new undies too and decided to take a chance on this pair. They passed all the tests for me yesterday and I think I’m going to grab 3 more pair as they match my favorite bra.
PINNING | Y’all, my cooking game is seriously in the dumps! I’m pinning all the meals I can find that are easy but also in the “clean” kind of category because we seriously need to get back on track eating at home. Typically I try to make meals as clean as possible but I also have to work around the family. Finding ideas like this chicken carnita stuffed sweet potato work for me. While I enjoy my carnitas with a sweet potato or jicama tortillas, my family can have regular baked potatoes or use regular tortillas and I’m not stuck trying to cook two different meals.
WATCHING | Baseball seems to be the only thing I’ve been watching much of lately! Between the online shopping and the amount of times we have eaten out this month I’m definitely not watching my budget or my calories! August is a great time to get back on track.
COUNTING | The days……until my anniversary (2), our trip to California (8) and the first day of school (19). We have a lot planned for August!
And as a bonus today I’m CELEBRATING my 4th Blogiversary! Next week I’ll have some fun to celebrate so stay tuned!
