Initially I felt the relief of no longer watching her lose herself but was then set free to truly grieve for what we all lost. I wasn’t prepared to miss her physical touch so much but I was surprised how close I continued to feel to her. Sweet signs continued to come in the form of the butterflies she loved so much and they seemed to show up at the most special times which made it easy to believe they were sent specifically for comfort and reassurance. I was relieved at how she hasn’t been forgotten as so many of our most special memories included her and we continue to share those sweet and sometimes crazy stories with one another. As we emptied our childhood home and sorted through all the things it became more and more apparent that the house was just brick and mortar and it was really her that had made it our home. And I’m overjoyed when I see her in myself in the role she was truly the best at. I regret that it took her dying for me to finally see her for who she fully was and give her the grace she always deserved.

I don’t know where I heard it said but last summer I ran across someone sharing how the one way we can still share something with our loved one is through our faith. Even while separated by heaven and earth, we are both able to celebrate and receive the love of God. It was so beautiful to me to picture. I had forgotten until reading a devotional this morning discussing how God created us and we all belong to Him. Thinking of his arms around us both brought a few tears.

A friend shared the song Somewhere in the Sunshine with me last week and I have loved hearing it and picturing her soaking it all up.
February NUULY box was a win! I wore all of these February NUULY box was a win! I wore all of these pieces multiple times but have really enjoyed trying jeans from brands and styles I’ve never tried before. One lesson learned…while I definitely have read item reviews on prior boxes, I paid really close attention this time to when those reviews were posted for the dresses and sweaters. Items you would expect to see more signs of wear after multiple washes/wears.

I suck at thrifting clothes mainly because I am super sensitive to the smells inside many of the thrift stores. Nuuly has been a different experience as the clothes come clean but without a heavy smell.

I didn’t purchase any items from this box but really, really considered the Agolde jeans!

Have you tried a NUULY box?
Jonathan’s cousin presided over the ceremony and i Jonathan’s cousin presided over the ceremony and it could not have been more perfect with so many touching memories and sentiments from their many years of friendship before becoming a couple and all the little things that have built a solid bond since. I was most surprised at the emotion her brothers had when they saw her!! It was all so precious and I could not stop smiling.

Some of the sweet details that were close to my heart. I had the wedding dress I wore when I married Jordan’s dad made into a robe for her and we added a butterfly pin of my moms to her bouquet.

The flowers may have been all white but they were more spectacular than I envisioned and I loved the cozy chapel.

Thanks for such a fun (sweaty) week @tone360fitnes Thanks for such a fun (sweaty) week @tone360fitness It was great to be back and WOW I didn’t know what I had been missing!

Here’s what I loved

💪Strength training with Kaleigh! Midlife muscle is king and building mine has been my favorite lately. So many class times to choose from too!

🔥Pilates definitely added the perfect amount of resistance, balance and cardio. All with modifications for every level. I took the HOT class but it’s offered without the added heat too!

🚴‍♀️my biggest sweat sesh came with the express cycling class! Whew…let’s just say I’m a little rusty but my legs never stopped moving and I felt great after.

💋community…Nayokia and Kaleigh have built one at Tone and you only have to visit a time or two to feel that! The amount of hugging…or high 5s if you’re not into that…from so many of their clients!

And there’s more I didn’t try this week like Cardio Jam, Barrelattes, TNT and yoga! A class for every body to literally TONE all 360!!

Keeping my muscles guessing and trying new workouts that also keep my mind moving is so important to me especially after seeing my mom battle Alzheimers. I had so much fun mixing it up!

We started the month with 80 degree days and ended with some freezing temps but found lots of sunshine and joy along the way
