Friday Favorites – Recapping 2014 Faves

January 1st marked the 6 month blogiversary for Queen in Between!  I have had so much fun and only thought I was following too many other bloggers before but since starting my own blog I have found even more amazing women out there to follow.  There are so many inspiring people out there and the days when I am able to inspire others I seriously feel like I’m on a high!  Here are a few of the posts others were most drawn to but also the posts that were the most special to me.

{ONE}….These two Pin-spired fashion posts received the most views over the past 6 months.  I’m really new to this whole fashion thing….I mean I love fashion but I’m really new at learning to pull together my own outfits.  Prior to this past year I was the kind of girl who bought an outfit and wore only that outfit together without ever considering combining the items with others in my closet.  Pinterest really has changed the way I look at my closet and sometimes I don’t get it quite right but other times I pull something together that rocks and I seriously get so excited!  I have typically been an over shopper and spend way too much on clothing so one of my goals in 2015 is to be content with the items in my closet and only add a few key pieces each season.

First up…Pin-spired to Just Add Mustard….still love my mustard skinnies!  You can check out this outfit and others here.
Second..Pin-spired by Hats & Houndstooth….these looks could be stretched all the way through Spring.  I am especially exciting about wearing my striped dress with lightweight sweaters.  You can check out all outfits here.
{TWO}…..I blogged about two people who were so special to me but left this world too soon…my daddy and his sister, my Aunt Deb.  I loved writing these posts and remembering so many special things about them.  I have read each of these so many times and they still evoke so much emotion.
Read His Baby Girl written on the 10 year anniversary of his passing here
 Read Fighting With Faith here
{THREE}…..I loved writing when I was young but that has somehow been replaced with the busyness of life and all that comes with being a wife and mom.  Writing again has reminded me how good it feels to get all these feelings and thoughts out of my head.  I received the most comments from readers and through text from friends regarding the post Weave Your Own Web.
{FOUR}…..I love to cook and we really try to cook at home as much as possible but meal planning definitely gets old when no one in my family is very helpful in providing suggestions.  Here is one of my easy go to recipes especially for times when we are having a small family gathering.  This lasagna is so good and so easy.  You can find the recipe here
{FIVE}…..Last but not least one of my very favorite posts to pull together was our year in review which can be found here.  I really didn’t realize how much we really got to do in 2014 and we were so blessed in so many ways.  There were definitely some struggles and some crappy days and some scary mom moments but at the end of the year I was proud and happy to see all that was accomplished and most of all to see we made some fun memories.
Last week day of vacation for me and it has been an amazing two weeks off.  I am feeling rested and refreshed and hoping to start the year tackling my goal to BE PRESENT in all that I do!
Happy Friday!
