I made a mad dash into Target last week for laundry detergent and ended up with 6 new scarves! I should know better than to think I can rush into Target for anything as walking past the women’s clothes and accessories without stopping takes major willpower. Well played Target…well played. Anyway….back to the purchase at hand. I found a great black and white houndstooth scarf that I knew I had to have and a cute floppy hat but then began the dilemma of how to wear it? So of course I immediately turned to our friend Pinterest for a some style advice.
This was the first picture I saw on Pinterest and I knew I had everything in my closet that could make this work!
Love this easy look with jeans and a sweater. Red is always the first color I think about adding with the houndstooth pattern.
This past summer I really got excited about wearing a hat for the first time. Every time I wore my fedora someone commented about it so I’m taking that to mean it’s a look I can carry. When I started seeing these cute fall hats I was intrigued but not sure I could actually pull it off. I mean seriously..how cute is she?? Found the picture on Pinterest but her blog is adorable so you should definitely check it out.

So here is what I pulled together adding my new accessories but using everything else I already had in my closet. I love when that happens!

I love, love, love my Toms wedge booties from last season. I have walked miles (literally) in these shoes and they are super comfy.

Still not completely sure I can pull off this hat but it was fun trying out these looks.

I ran into Dillards today to look for a pair of wedges I’ve had my eye on and instead bumped into these. The flats were comfortable and fit true to size but then I put on the heels and fell in love! Aren’t they adorable?!! I had to size up 1/2 a size but they are officially on my Santa list just in case anyone wants to put in a good word for me!
Sorry…could not find a link!
Love finding ways to use items in my closet with a few new accessories to spice things up!
How do you use accessories to add a little spice to your fall style?
