Flower Fever – Friday Favorites

·

As long as January felt, February has felt even longer and I don’t know about y’all but it has me battling a little flower fever. I’m so ready to see some fresh blooms, spring temps and sunshine! We have a couple of trips coming up for dance so I’ve been looking for fun little outings along the way and thought I’d share in case some of you have flower fever too!

If you have never been to the Dallas Arboretum, spring is the perfect time! Fall is pretty great too but I’m kind of a huge sucker for tulips and it does not disappoint. We visited several years back on one of our girls getaways and did a little photo shoot while we were there. This is one of my fave shots! Can’t believe how much these two have grown since then.

The daughter of one of my high school friends recently shared a picture from a visit to the Flower Vault in Houston. I was excited to see there is also a location in San Antonio as we will be headed that direction in early April. It looks beautiful and such a fun spot for a little photo shoot.

Just outside of Denton, Texas you can find this beautiful tulip farm. I loved reading their story and it has been on my list since I first heard about it in 2016. It would make a fun little road trip on a beautiful spring day especially if you are in the Dallas area.

Of course in Texas who doesn’t get just a tad bit excited when the bluebonnets start to bloom? We don’t make it out every year now that the kids are older but I still love seeing the bluebonnets line the roadways. I think taking a scenic drive would be perfect this spring and love these 5 hot spots in the Hill Country.

Fort Worth Botanical Gardens

We visited the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens in 2016 at spring break and they always have fun events. On our visit there was a butterfly exhibit but the Lanterns in the Gardens exhibit this March looks so fun. I have 10 fun things to do in Fort Worth already lined up for you just in case it’s on your list!

These are just a few of the fun Texas spring outings I’ve either experienced or have on my list. I also have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to Texas travel. I’d love for you to share yours!

Happy Friday! And if you missed my one and only post this week be sure to check out living in the grey.
