Do you ever just feel like you are in the grey? I remember a time in my life when things seemed so much more black and white. There were hard and fast rules and I either followed them or I broke them it was as simple as that.

Somehow in my 40’s I feel like there is a much bigger grey space. The younger me was much more willing to fall on the sword over standing my ground and convincing others why I was right while the 40 something me is more willing to see another’s point of view. I’m much more able to accept we may be different but still hold respect for one another.

Living in the grey means accepting I may not always have all the facts to decide an action is right or wrong. Taking the time to really understand another’s journey really makes me understand I do not often have all the facts behind a decision. There are often many different ways to arrive at the same solution and I have wasted so much time in my life trying to prove my way was the best (only) way!

If I haven’t lost you yet praise! As a recovering Type A personality this was a process for me. Are you a black and white thinker or have you learned to live in the grey?

I can almost always count on a compliment or two when I pull together a look like this. A black blazer is just such a staple piece to have in your closet! It’s easy, I feel comfortable and it I can dress it up or down by just changing out a few pieces.

This look was spinned from Florals and Corals. While I swapped the regular denim for white denim, I loved the softness the grey adds to the look much like living in the grey does to my heart!
