WIWW – Escapada

For some reason this summer I have had the hardest time finding cute tops that fit well transition easily between work and play all while tolerating the Texas summer.
Escapada is a brand carried by a couple of local boutiques that always seems to work for me.  The material is lightweight and the tops usually come in a variety of great color combos but only a few select styles.  This top was a perfect fit in one of my all time favorite color combos!
The fabric is lightweight as the Escapada line markets itself as “resort wear” so it works for warmer climates.  While cool, it is still substantial enough to not require any type of tank underneath.
I wore this outfit to the zoo on our trip to Omaha {part 1 and part 2)  in June and it was a hot day but I never felt uncomfortable.  I paired with my Sam Edelman Gigi sandals, J. Crew Factory cutoffs and fun hat from Target.
The very next week I paired the same top with white crop pants and my Vaneli cork wedges for a day at the office.  I’m so thankful during the summer months while a large portion of the student body is gone the university has a “relaxed” summer casual dress code.  Sure does make the hot days feel tolerable.
I picked up this fun necklace at a local boutique, Witts End, as well and I love the unexpected pop of color it adds to the outfit.
