The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 32

·
The weeks are rolling by but we are determined to soak up every last drop of summer!

Carly attended Bengal Belle camp hosted by our local high school drill team.  This girl really loves to dance and I really wish I had never let her stop dancing when she was 5.  I’m hoping this year I will get her involved again with weekly lessons for more than just hip hop.  When she is performing I just feel like it is so obvious she has a passion for it.

On the last day of camp the dancers show back up that night and family and friends can watch what they learned in just a short 4 days.

Carly also was able to attend a painting class at our local U Paint It studio.

She painted the cutest dog bowl for Dutch!  I can’t wait to pick it up this week and see how it turned out after being fired.
Dillon attended football camp all week but of course….he is now a teenager and pictures just seem to not be encouraged at all these activities!
We traveled to my hometown on Friday night to spend the night at my moms before heading to the beach on Saturday!  We have not been to the beach in two summers and were really missing it.
I received this text from my brother and obviously my niece Morgan was a little excited about heading to the beach!

There were mimosas, fishing, sandcastle building, boogie board surfing and frisbee throwing!  Lots of fun for everyone to enjoy.

Only missing one piece of my heart in the pic!  Riley hates the beach but we sure do wish he could have joined us today.  Can’t beat making family memories on a beautiful day.
Love, love that my brother and his family were able to join us. This was Myles’ first time at the beach and he was a little timid at first but pretty much thought Jordan & Dillon were the bomb and let them both carry him out in the waves.  Morgan had a blast looking for sea shells and seriously took home a bucket full.
Brian & I have so many great memories of coming to the beach with our mom and dad.  My dad was the best at setting up camp!  We were always so embarrassed that he just cut off his blue jeans (at the knee) for his shorts which seems really silly now.  I’d give anything to have him cooking up hot dogs and ranch style beans on the pit attached to his welding truck.  Hopefully we created some great memories this weekend these kids will still be talking about when they are grown.

Love making memories!  Carly Jo stayed with her Nana for another week of fun so Dillon is back to enjoying a week as an only child.  I promise I won’t spoil him too much.

Have a great week!  Join me here to see where I’m linking up.
