The Queen’s Chronicles – Spring Break Staycation

Our spring break went by super quick but that only means there are just 10 more weeks of school standing between us and summer!  No big spring break vacation for us but we did manage to spend some quality time together and also knock a few projects off the list.  Oh….and I rested y’all, like really, really rested.  I think we all logged more hours of sleep than we have in a really long time.  Here’s a little view of our week!

We kicked off spring break with a baseball tourney!  The struggle is real to find long enough pants and/or socks when you are 6’3″.

Love this cutie so much!  He actually pitched again on Thursday of spring break and did well both times.  Baseball pretty much rules our life right now but I’m not complaining.

This guy was just a little confused we were home every day but so willing to snuggle up or head out for a walk!

I’m pretty sure Hey Sugar, the new candy store in town, was a highlight for pretty much everyone who stayed around for Spring Break 2018!!  Carly and Dillon definitely enjoyed browsing the store, grabbing some sugar and some weird sodas.

This girl and I had fun shopping at Old Navy (see our picks in the navigation bar under Shop Spring Favorites), looked at furniture for our front room and did a teeny bit of work on her room.  She also helped me clean out our spice cabinet and was super proud to find so many things expired that she could toss.  Now, if I can remember that before I decide to bake something!

A much needed pedicure was on my list…..but the manicure to go with it wasn’t in the cards.  This is OPI-One Heckla of a Color in case you are wondering.

We ended our week in Matagorda Bay with our favorite captain!  The fish were definitely too smart for us but we enjoyed riding around on our new boat.   We have had it since October but this was the first time the girls were along for the ride.

This crazy girl was so excited to have a new shirt that actually matches our boat and while I was freezing I looked around and she was floating around in the water.  Nut!

This one could live on the water along with this dad.  Being in the middle of a big body of water when the fish aren’t biting is pretty tough for me but seeing the boys do what they love definitely helps me just be still and enjoy it.

Back to school and work tomorrow but I’m super excited we have a much needed girls weekend on the horizon with our besties to look forward to!

Hope you all have a wonderful week.
