The Queen’s Chronicles – Hoco 2023

Hoco 2023

This weeks Queen’s Chronicles are sponsored by HOCO 2023! It was a week full of big mums, big firsts and big memories for our senior Strutter. The world pretty much revolves around her this fall and we have all shown up big to support our girl.

The festivities began with the first ever Homecoming parade which turned out to be so fun! The girls were able to get a little practice so they won’t be heading to NYC cold for the Macys parade. The parade ended in the stadium where the community wide pep rally took place. The girls had a quick outfit change and performed on the field. At the end of the night, the seniors all took their place lining the field with their families where they heard some inspirational words from a few classmates and then turned on their little “luminary” when the lights went out. The wrapped up singing the class song.

Friday the girls performed a hip hop at the homecoming pep rally. This is a “tryout” dance so Carly was super excited she made it. It was then time for the parent tailgate where we gathered to eat dinner together before the game.

The halftime performance was the Bob & Sue dance where the girls dance with a special guest. Keith joined Carly for the 3rd year but I have to say he was a little rusty. Ha! It’s such a sweet time.

This year Carly decided she didn’t want to get dressed up for the homecoming dance and opted instead to take pics of her friends. The girl knows what she likes so I didn’t try to pursuade her too hard to change her mind!

I can’t believe it’s already October and one 6 week session of senior year is already over! This year is going to fly by.
