My Santa Wish List – Want, Need, Wear, Read

It’s time for Show and Tell Tuesday with Andrea and today it’s all about showing off gifts in the categories want, need, wear, read. I had to laugh when I looked back at last years post as it seems not much has changed and I still may be a bit confused between want and need!  I did receive (or possibly purchased for myself) almost all of the gifts on my list from last year throughout the course of the past year and they have all been winners!  Let’s see what I’m wanting needing this year!

 Want

I absolutely have no real need for an Apple watch and my Fit Bit Blaze works just fine for tracking steps but the latest and greatest technology always has mean swooning.  I’m somehow trying to convince myself this would be so much safer too and keep me off my phone more!  Hmm…maybe I do need it!  Truth be told I also really want the iPhone X.  Riley has the 7 plus which has portrait mode for pictures and I was seriously blown away with the quality.  We have new phones so this would definitely be really high up on that want scale to replace my phone!
I also really want a new tote and have pretty much settled on this one since I’m not thinking the LV never full is going to be in the budget this year!  Here is where I seriously struggle in life as given too many combos and choices leaves me pondering way too long and the next thing you know it will be spring and I will still not have a fall/winter tote!  Ha!
Totally not sexy at all but I really have been debating one of these.  With Dutch we seem to always have dog hair around and I’m wondering if running this in between the deeper housecleaning would help  If you have one I would really love to know what you recommend especially if you have animals who shed.

Need

Christmas is the only time I seem to snag new pajamas and I almost always have on my need list!  The past couple of years I’ve received the super soft and cozy PJ Salvage pajamas but they are not as practical as I will rarely wear a button down sleep top.  I’m loving this pair from Victoria Secret and think they will be a little lighter weight PLUS they come in tall!
I also am completely out of perfume so I would be excited to see this show up under the tree!  My favorite scent since I was probably 16!

Wear

I really do need new workout shoes and just haven’t decided if I need to replace my running shoes or some everyday workout shoes the most.  I’m kind of loving these Brooks running shoes though!  The days of purchasing the cheapest athletic shoes are gone for me and taking care of my feet is a big deal.  I have super high arches and this brand works well.

Totally cheating on this one as I helped Santa out a bit and have already ordered several pair to try as the Nordstrom sale was just too good to pass up.  I wasn’t sure about OTK boots for me but after finally finding the perfect cognac pair two years ago I fell in love.  Last winter I debated the black but never pulled the trigger and I’ve find myself several times pulling an outfit together and thinking if only I had those black boots!

Okay, y’all, I have two of the barefoot dreams cardigans I love so when this one came out during the anniversary sale I did not give it a second look.  I borrowed my friend Holly’s last Saturday while we were over for a visit and I seriously think I love this one more than either of my other two!  I really think the black would be my choice but this color is actually on sale.

Read

I go back and forth between digital books and hardcopies but the one thing I love about digital is having multiple options on hand.  I’ve been using my iPad for reading and it is perfect at home but not ideal when outdoors.  We spend tons of time at the ballpark in the spring and I really think I would love this Kindle paperwhite to read without the glare.  Amazon was offering $30 off so I totally may have already ordered for myself with this case too! Shhhhh……
I read Elin’s winter series after Christmas last year and knocked out all three books so I was excited to see she has written a fourth.  I’m thinking Winter Solstice would be the perfect read after Christmas!

And I have to say, a subscription to a magazine is always a favorite for me.  Magazines are not something I will typically spend money on but if I’m gifted a subscription it is always more fun.  This year I purchased HGTV and Real Simple during a fundraiser and they are always two of my favorites.

Even though there are always those things on a running list I would love to have, I truly feel so content right now with all I have.  We truly do have more than we could ever need and I’m really trying hard to minimize the crap around my house.  My favorite gift which is always in style, always wanted and desperately needed is sweet time; time with my loves, time with my friends, time for myself!  I will take an experience and sweet moments over gifts any old day.
