reading lately – november book review

Time to pick up the pace as I have just completed book 34 and that means I need at least 8 more books to tie my 2022 books read record. October is always a busy month and apparently I just didn’t find the time to read much. This month I completed 4 new reads and am sharing what I’ve been reading lately in my November book review.

Things We Left Behind

Things We Left Behind is book number 3 in a series and it is by far my favorite. These are easy to read books but I felt in the first two they lacked some substance and character development. Book number 3 was so much better and really allowed the reader to get to know both main characters in depth. All 3 books are fairly steamy as a heads up! This book is a freebie on kindle unlimited.

The Younger Wife

I picked up The Younger Wife at a rummage sale for $1 because I knew I loved this author and it was an easy, slightly suspensful read with lots of family secrets. Books that alternate between the different character views throughout the chapters typically make for an easy ready for me and this was no exception. You can also find The Younger Wife as a free kindle unlimited read.

The Little Italian Hotel

I’m pretty much obsessed with any books set in Italy so I couldn’t wait to read The Little Italian Hotel. It is a find yourself read and follows Ginny, a midlife woman at a crossroads, and 4 guests no an Italian adventure. All had hearts to mend and I enjoyed following along as they shared their hearts and worked on healing and growing. I think this may have been my favorite read of the month.

Mrs Nash's Ashes

Mrs Nash’s Ashes is a sweet, easy read about lost loves and friendship. I loved how vulnerable and quirky the main character, Millicent, was and enjoyed riding along on her adventure to reunite two true loves.

Currently, I am reading The Starfish Sisters which is also free on Kindle unlimited. I’m about three quarters of the way through and can hardly wait to see how it turns out. It has been an eassy story about friendship and secrets that get in the way.

I’m on the hunt to add a few holiday books to my list for December to really get me in the mood for Christmas! Do you have any I should add to my list?
