The Queen’s Chronicles – All the Fun

Welcome to the Queen’s Chronicles where a share a little about what’s been happening around here.  I’m catching up on the past week of fun we have been having with some special visits and a special birthday girl.

My little brother brought his kids to watch the Aggies BTHO South Carolina.  My youngest nephew was seriously beside himself with one million questions about Kyle Field!

My oldest nephew also joined us which I was super excited about.  My brother and I both have the same situation with the big kids and the little kids.  Thomas is just a few months younger than Riley and just began his first year as a teacher and coach. We are super proud of him!

This guy always makes me laugh.  I love hanging out with him!

Carly Jo was excited to be headed to her first game of the season too!

It was a great evening for a football game and we were so excited it was a great game and the Aggies won!

This guy behind me though about made me lose it!  He seriously had another game on his phone playing full blast the entire time even during halftime.  So annoying!

My nephew Myles was seriously entertained the entire game!  Keith asked him later if there were alot of people there and he was like “yeah, I counted about 200 hundred”.  He cracks me up!

Sunday funday (or not) as we spent it looking for a shirt, tie and shoes for Dillon to wear to homecoming.  We tried on Saturday and it was a big fail but thankfully it all worked out Sunday because momma could not have had one more trip to the mall with this big one!

Keith and I decided to have a date night so we grabbed Blue Baker for the kids.  Love this sweet girl so much!

We headed for sushi and it was so yummy!  They were out of my fave beer but suggested this one and I think I love it even more than Sapporo!

Carly Jo also had her 12 year old well visit this week!  She is now officially over 5 foot and so happy about it! She seems to be a bit of a late bloomer so we are patiently awaiting puberty.

Thursday night I made lasagna at Jordan’s request for her birthday dinner.  When you have adult children you can gift them fun stuff like this!  Don’t worry, all the other packages were full of items from Nordstrom!

Oh my heart!  I was seriously 20 years old with not a clue in the world what I was going to do with this baby!  All I knew is  I loved her fiercely from day one.

And mercy has she grown up to be such a gorgeous girl!  I’m super proud of Jordan and her success in such a short time.  She’s as beautiful on the inside too and it was obvious by the number of friends showing up for her “tailgate” birthday party.

We headed over long enough to help set up and take one jello shot and then we decided we were too old for this party!  Nana was excited to be part of the special day!

A Bundt cake surrounded mini brownies for dessert.  Her roomies asked me to make these football inspired brownies and I’m sure they realized really fast I am not a very Pinterest worthy mom!  They did a great job setting up her party.

We headed to Katy on Saturday morning to watch this one pitch a few innings.  It’s been fun watching him develop and grow into a pretty darn good little pitcher.

I had to laugh because there were two dads sitting next to me and when Dillon came out to warm up one said to the other “you know this kid is kind of nerdy but I really like him”.  What?!  I cracked up and loved the look on his face when I said “oh come on….he’s not THAT nerdy”.   I couldn’t help myself!

We ended the weekend with the homecoming game on Friday and the dance on Saturday but I’m thinking I’ll save those pictures for another day!

My kids are out of school tomorrow and I decided they really needed me at home so I’m off too!  Hopefully I will make more progress putting the house back together and knocking more items off my to do list.

Wishing you a beautiful week!  Hoping it might feel like fall at least in the evenings this week here in Texas.
