Military Inspired Style

Today I’m sharing another look from the May Mom Style challenge hosted by Kristy at Seven Graces Blog.  When I first saw military inspired as the prompt, camo was the first thing to come to mind.  Since I needed an outfit for the office that particular day I decided to dress it up a bit.

I started with a basic black dress which is something most of us always have on hand.  This swing dress is nearing four years old but I’ve yet to find a replacement I love more.  I’ve also created this same look with a black maxi.

This cuff gave the perfect amount of camo but is still dressy enough for the office and I love how it works with the Renegade bracelet.  The striped clutch would make this outfit perfect for date night or a girls night out.

I topped the dress with a lightweight olive jacket perfect for summer.  Mine is from several years back but this one was marked down as part of the 1/2 annual sale and it is super cute.  You know what else is on sale?  This adorable pair of sandals!  I grabbed these last summer during the anniversary sale and they are now marked down to that same price and there are still multiple colors available.  Super comfortable and guaranteed to bring compliments!  Don’t forget this bag I’m sure you are all tired of seeing!  While the clutch is perfect for a date night, this striped tote is my go to for the office.
