January Stitch Fix – Style Six

· ·

Starting the year with a box from my favorite style service, Stitch Fix. I’ve really been trying to shop my closet but thought it would also be fun to add a piece or two to mix in with what I already have available. There were 4 fixes that fit my style and 1 big flop!

If you are new to Stitch Fix, it’s a style service where you receive 5 items to try based upon a profile you set up. You have the opportunity to give feedback on your style and send back anything you don’t love. Sometimes it’s defintiely harder than others to make a final decision but I love receiving something unexpected I didn’t have to shop for myself.

So let’s take a look at what my latest box held shall we?

I’m all about saving the best for last so let’s just go ahead and get the flop out of the way! This dress was so just not for me. Even though I’m going to be a grandma in a just a few months, I really don’t want to feel like one in my clothes! While this dress is an A-line fit (my fave!), it is a little too long and a little too big leaving me feeling super frumpy. No thank you!

It was a tad better once I added a jacket but basically I knew the moment I slipped it on this would be a hard pass! Side note, I ordered these cute black flats and so far they have been very comfortable. I’m not typically a flats kind of gal but every once in awhile I want to throw a pair on and I love the gold detail that gives them just a little something extra!

Next up, this gray sweater. Do you spell it grey or gray? I seriously never know which I’m going to use! Regardless, gray can be a great color to add to your closet. It is such a great, basic neutral and as I’m showing below it can be so versatile.

Being able to use a piece from my Stitch Fix to create multiple outfits when paired with items from my own closet is definitely one of the deciding factors. I’m in love with all 3 of these looks! Unfortunately the fit of this sweater was just a tad off for me but I really think finding a grey sweater will be on my to do list!

Next up is this cute little cold shoulder top. My spanx faux leather leggings had been on repeat all fall so I decided to add the camo pair during the Christmas sales. I’m obsessed! This little top looks darling paired with the camo leggings and tall boots. I think I could also dress it up even more by wearing a strappy sandal for a fun little date night look.

Taking it down a notch with white jeans and the suede flats also works. While I have a similar cold shoulder top, it covers alot less and really is not appropriate for the office even on casual Friday. I’m thinking this one would actually be able to make the cut.

Y’all, I have zero business adding a black jacket to my closet. ZERO! But this one is so darling and I have to have it. It will pair well with so many items in my closet and will work well to dress up or down. It’s faux suede but definitely Texas winter weight!

I love all these looks! A great jacket is definitely my best friend right now as I tend to be carrying any extra weight in my middle. Hiding it with a flattering jacket definitely makes me feel less self conscious about the love handles! The similar jacket in faux leather is on super sale here.

Once again, top I really don’t “need” in my closet but am on the fence about keeping. I have owned two other tops by this brand that are made similarly but both have to be worn wtih a cami. The fit of this one is perfect and I’m thinking the color might be in my wheel. Debating this one! Of course, if I could get these dress pants in every darn color in the rainbow I think I would! They are the most slimming pant I’ve ever owned!!

The items in this fix were fairly reasonable aside from the dress and the jacket. I also feel like this fix was fairly basic with items I could somewhat easily find elseswhere. Typically I will pay a little more for items through Stitch Fix because I know the pieces will be somewhat unique and I won’t risk running into several others sporting the same look. See all my Stitch Fix reviews here.

You can always try your first Stitch Fix using my code for $25 off. It is a process to really communicate with the stylist and receive a quality fix, in your price range, that works for your body type but I have been ordering off and on since it first began and it’s just a fun treat to me!

Now it’s your turn to link up your favorite looks from the week! Here is my pick from last weeks linkup. I always love Anne’s style so it’s no surprise her 2019 oufit recap spoke to me! I love this particular combo.
