A fun floral fix almost makes me as happy as being on the water! We headed to the Texas coast over the weekend and I was definitely looking for a fun outfit for the humid days. We stayed right off the bay and the wind was way more of a factor than I was anticipating but this outfit made up for my crazy hair.
I first fell in love with this print when I saw Chioma post the dress and it was so beautiful on her but I wasn’t sure I could pull it off. I walked into the store a few days later and actually found this top front and center! Off I went to the dressing room and was pleasantly surprised by the fit; not too fitted but not boxy either.
For the past few years I’ve raved about J. Crew and J. Crew Factory shorts (I love the 4.5 and 5″) but just a short month ago I seriously could not fit in any of them. Yikes! I ate my way straight through summer, fall and winter and it was time to get myself under control. I was super excited to find, after 3 weeks of eating right and keeping my workout schedule, my shorts were fitting again! If you are in the market for a pair, these come in so many colors and are under $15 at factory right now!!
I loved my Stella and Dot black and white striped tote (shown here and here) so much and decided to take a chance on this Cay tote in a summer shade. It is a tad smaller and will not be as easy to just wipe down but it is super cute and I carried it all weekend. The Renegade bracelet is also one of my favorite pieces even though my momma told me it looked a little dangerous to wear this weekend.
My Sam Edelman nude sandals have been a favorite for several years but I decided a cognac pair was a must for my closet and picked up these for $12 at Target. I walked thousands of steps in these sandals over the weekend and was super impressed with how comfortable they fit and the fact I had zero rubbing even between the toes.
Are you as crazy about florals and weekends at the coast as I am? Bring on summer!
