Five on Friday – Random Joy
Happy Friday! I’m slightly in denial June is almost over. It’s been a busy month of summer school, summer camp, baseball and work so no wonder it passed so quickly! My July 4th decor is still sitting in a box on my kitchen table so I’m guessing I can cross that off my to do list. Ha! Today I’m sharing some random joy for five on Friday!
Baseball News
I shared on Wednesday the news Riley was promoted to Triple A but buried it in What’s Up Wednesday with little details. I’m always hesitant to make the announcement too big until the team actually does. Riley headed off on Wednesday to meet up with the Fresno Grizzlies on the road in El Paso but will be heading back to his new ballpark home today in Fresno California.
If you haven’t been around the blog much, two years ago Riley had a season ending injury due to an aneurysm in his shoulder. It wasn’t like this was the first time he had faced adversity in his baseball career but it was definitely the biggest setback. He has worked so hard to get back to where he was before and seeing his velocity jump back up has been huge. I’m so proud of him! While he will now be further away it’s hard to be sad because I’m just so excited for him to be taking this next step towards his dream.
Birthdays
Today is my baby brothers 45th birthday! We evidently need to take more pictures together because this one is already 4 years old!! Last June we were anxiously awaiting his results from a full body scan as he had melanoma removed from his arm. I don’t think I’ve ever prayed quite so hard in my life! Thankfully the cancer was still early and isolated and it was all removed with no spreading. I love this kid so much! He knows ALL my junk y’all and he still loves me so much.

Someone shared this instagram clip in a Facebook group I’m in and YES….just YES! Seriously, self-esteem should come from ourself!!
Shopping
I may have ordered this firecracker tee in hopes it will arrive pre-4th of July! But I also ordered this rainbow beauty. I’ve wanted a Love First tee for some time but never pulled the trigger and I think this is THE ONE. I can’t wait to wear one (or both) with my striped skirt!
Summer School
Woohoo, this ray of sunshine is so excited her summer can really begin now that she has completed summer school! I think she was a little shocked at how much work a keyboarding class could be. I’m glad because now I will have my computer back. ha! Not many sizes remaining but her adorable sunshine tee is on sale!
