Denim & Lace – Style Six
Sometimes I dream up a combo with pieces in my closet I’ve never really considered before. This one first popped into my head when a friend asked if she could borrow something for an upcoming wedding. For whatever reason I thought about this sweet lace top I recently purchased at a local boutique. While I’ve worn it several times with nice jeans or dress pants, I’d not considered this combo.
To me it still just felt a little too formal to pop on for a day at the office so I used my favorite trick for taking a look down just a notch; DENIM! I love how the denim jacket makes it feel just a little more casual but still pulled together. I showed off a similar look a few years back with a little black dress.
While this top was a boutique find, the skirt is straight up Target! I’ve worn it with a tshirt, a camo button down, you name it I’ve decided to try it. I still think a basic tee has been my fave. Adding pieces to my closet which serve a dual function and an easily be dressed up or down is really big for me!
The leopard pumps were an after thought and I threw them on for these pictures after actually wearing open toe booties to work. I’m kind of thinking I liked it with the booties even better even though these heels are a some of my faves!
My new Kendra Scott earrings have also been on repeat. A sweet friend gifted me this pair for my birthday and then I grabbed this pair with my 50% off for my birthday month. Between the two I’ve barely thought about any other earrings.
