Wearing Lately – Texas Winter Style

Remember when this use to be a blog where I shared my style? Well, the last time I shared any style inspiration around here was early fall so I pulled out some looks from the last month for a little post! There have been a few new pieces I’ve added over the last few months that I love so scroll to see what I’ve been weariing lately for a little Texas winter style!

First up, this cozy sweater. Amazon is always hit or miss for me and this sweater is a big hit! Not only is the pattern adorable but it is super soft. I love wearing it with my black jeans and decided a little contrast with brown boots was just what this look needed. My Frye boots were an investment years and I forgot how much I love them!

I picked up this cozy cutie at a local boutique just in time for our artic blast in December. Here is a link to the jacket which is now marked down! Now I’m patiently waiting a chance to wear it again! I paired it with my spanx leggings (here is a save faux leather pair that has good reviews), a soft pullover and my new favorite boots! I literally never dreamed I’d wear white boots but have had these on repeat.

Cardigans are another hit or miss item for me. While I love the detail of pockets, sometimes if they hang open too wide I’m don’t end up loving the look. This soft one is a win and I’m loving the color. It’s light weight enough for a Texas winter but also easy to layer for the cooler days.

Yes, this blazer is a staple for the Christmas holidays, but I will not hesistate to pull it out for Valentines day too! Especially since Santa brought me these earrings! I’ve loved the mock turtleneck for layering. It is lightweight sweater material that doesn’t feel too overwhelming or bulky. A few colors and sizes are left at an additional 60% fof right now…..hmmm…do I need it in blue too?

Told ya, the mock turtleneck and white boots have been on repeat! Yes, this is a fun holiday look but I can easily transition to not so festive with a different top under this fun puffer. I haven’t worn my puffers as much this year as in the past but still love them to create a great layered look.

I do not have a great picture of this dress but who doesn’t love an adorable toddler pic?!! The colors of this dress turned out so perfectly for our family pictures! It is a great fit with a little ruffle detail around the neck. The only negative is the slip underneath only comes to the knee so if the see through bothers you it is a no. It comes in several patterns/colors but these colors really made me happy!

So that’s a little roundup of what I’ve been wearing lately! February will be here before we know it and it will be time to use my closet for my annual create 28 where I show up 28 days of outfits using what is already available in my closet. It’s a great way to try some pieces that have been underused and determine if they still deserve a hanger!
