The Queen’s Chronicles

·
Lots of celebrations with friends this week and we are ending Sunday completely wiped out!
Monday was full of meetings and then straight from work to a board meeting for the food bank.  I could have chosen a dance class at the gym but stopped at the liquor store instead and opted for a fresh squeezed margarita to celebrate National Margarita Day.
I use to wait for someone to bring me flowers but these days I just stop and pick my own.  Tulips were 3 bunches for $12 at Kroger so I loaded up.  i just love them and I know they will be gone soon.
Have not seen this girl in forever and we enjoyed a yummy dinner at one of my favorite Italian restaurants and had so much fun catching up.
I received a call from this girl letting me know she left her lunch in my car.  I can’t say I was complaining about having some extra time with her.
Friday night we celebrated Katy’s birthday with dinner and lots of laughs.
Eating low carb isn’t that tough all the time but I really do still love cereal so I bought a box of my fave Kashi Crunch earlier in the week and knew I was treating myself Saturday morning.  So worth it!
So I’ve seen mixed reviews and didn’t really have any expectations going in but y’all…I have to tell you after 3 episodes I am totally hooked and loving Fuller House!  Was it cheesy at times….yep.  Is John Stamos still hot….yep.  Oddly enough, Danny Tanner totally reminded me of my ex-husband…it was freaky.  I really think I’ll finish all 10 episodes this week.  There are a few off color jokes but I did let Carly watch with me and she thought it was funny too.
Saturday morning the Creek View Show Choir performed at a local charity event.  They were so cute!
 Friends are where it’s at!
Then we headed to Wharton (my hometown) to celebrate a wedding!
It was a traditional small town wedding with a great dinner and dance reception.  Carly had a blast with her cousin Morgan.
This little guy was the ring bearer and he nailed it!  I have never seen such  big grin all the way down the aisle and then he stood so nicely the entire service.   He’s got some dance moves too!
Lots and lots of dancing all night long!
 And some photo booth fun!
Hank has been my brothers best friend for as long as I can remember and I really never thought I would see him finally settle down.  Guess it just took the right girl and we are just so thrilled for them!
Be still my heart!  Keith is a great dancer and I could not believe how well Carly picked up jitter bugging with her dad.
Maybe she will be better about letting him lead!!
We seriously had the best time!  I saw so many high school friends and we danced more than we have in a long time.  I had an all time high 19,319 steps on my Fitbit!   Such a fun night!
No rest for the weary and we were up and headed to Tomball for Dillon’s baseball game bright and early Sunday morning.  I totally lost count of the number of times I heard this sister say “I’m bored” and “this game is boring”.  The life of a little sis.
Everyone was happy after a quick (albeit costly) stop at Buc-ees for some snacks.
After an afternoon nap this girl and I took Dutch for a nature walk.  I really have been trying to soak up some extra time with my littles while I still can.  I know in a blink they will be done with school and out on their own.
Because seriously y’all…..this popped up on my Timehop app this week and I remember this day like it was yesterday.  I had a big presentation at work and she woke up with a fever.  I was frustrated and keyed up but after her meds kicked in she was all smiles and just wanted to love on me.  Glad I stopped and let her because oh…my…goodness this cuteness!
Then my supermom powers came into play as I snagged this Rocky Road ice cream while at the grocery store.  It’s been almost a year since we have had it and I totally had to make an exception and dive right in.
I just glanced at my calendar for the week and it looks like I’m going to busy at home and at work. It is Staff Appreciation week though and there are lots of fun activities planned on campus which should be fun.  Wishing you all a smashing week!
