The Queen’s Chronicles – Wrapping Up Summer

We officially wrapped up summer and headed back to school last Thursday but we soaked up some more goodness. Now it’s go time and our first full week lies ahead! Here’s a quick look at how we wrapped up summer.

Threads Boutique

These girls joined me for a little party my friend Jen of Growing Up Texas threw at one of my favorite local boutiques. So many great finds and the perfect opportunity to teach these two about price per wear and the reality you cannot take home everything you love every time!!

Who doesn’t love a striped dress WITH POCKETS?!! This one is super soft too.

Gameday Look

This little top came straight home with me! I have already worn it twice and have a feeling it will be seeing tons of wear this fall for some Fightin’ Texas Aggie football. Remember you can shop Threads Boutique with my code QUEEN15 to save a little and everything in the store is under $70. So many cute things and fun accessories.

Lake Day

Carly had so much fun at camp and the lake was a huge highlight. She talked her daddy into taking a tube out to a nearby lake with her bestie and we had the best time! We have had this tube for like 13 years and only used it once…I have no idea why we haven’t been doing this every single weekend!!

Lake Day

Probably because this guy would much rather be fishing in his boat! Ha! Truly he would do just about anything to make that little girl of his happy.

EDC Dance

Carly spent the first two weeks of summer learning her new choreography for the year including 18 hours in a week with Misha Gabriel. I’m so glad this girl found a passion for something and canno wait to see this hip hop dance!

Volunteering YMSL Aggileland

We managed to squeeze in half our hours for the year this summer with the Young Mens Service League group, wrapping up with bagging 180 produce bags.

NCL Volunteering

A quick outfit change and I did double duty working with Carly for National Charity League for a few hours to get us almost to our full minimum hours for the year.

We also all served together along with our besties at the Bridge Ministry Pantry which is one of our very favorite places to volunteer.

First Day of School

It was all smiles for the first day back to school! And then these two were totally exhausted by the end of the day. I’m so glad the first week was only two days as it was a nice way to ease back in.

Amazon Tee

I wore my new animal print tee that has been all over the blogger world and I have to say I’m a fan. Tees are sometimes iffy for me as I want them to be soft to really love them and I was worried it might be a little stiff but it was not at all. After wearing I decided I might need to size up to a large and ended up ordering the v-neck version instead. There are several different prints to choose from AND it also comes in a long sleeve option.

Summer Treats #BlueBell

And then I headed to my hometown to take my Mamaw to have her pacemaker replaced. Let’s just say it was a long two days and I may have eaten ALL my feelings!! I just happened to see this in the ice cream case at a gas station in my hometown and had never tried it before. It was nothing short of amazing!

Goodbye summer schedule and summer treats! Things are about to get real as I get back to rising early, try to get back on a regular routine at the gym and start adulting in the kitchen again!

Wishing all you an easy transition into the fall. Whether you are teaching school, taking kids to school or just living where there is school occuring it is always an adjustment.
