The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 44 & 45

·
I really must admit I thought at the very least keeping up with our weekly happenings would be E-A-S-Y but it is proving to be challenging to get these post up in a timely manner! Since my scrapbook table is piled high with Lord only knows what, I must get these memories out of my head before they are forgotten.  Here’s a little 2 week update!
Carly celebrated Red Ribbon week at school and I think Crazy Hair Day was her favorite!
Every year during my birthday month I schedule my annual skin check and my mammogram.  I had 6 moles removed and 2 came back with pre-cancerous cells so I and marking that $45 co-pay down as WORTH-IT.  Give yourself this gift every year.
Another Red Ribbon week dress up day and Carly was saying “peace out” to drugs!
We met friends on Thursday before Halloween for a little carnival on campus.  Good thing we did get one great picture with the wig since it did not survive the wrath of Dutch Buddy!
Super love for these two girls!
Carly had her big 10 year old well check!  She has grown 2 1/2 inches since last year and I was really shocked it was not more.  Are my kids the only ones who wear mismatched socks?  Seriously why in the world do I spend time matching them up??
Proud moment for my big boy as he finally purchased his dream vehicle!
I was feeling a little blue due to hormones and crappy weather so Carly & I made a quick trip to H-town so I could use my 50% off coupon at Kendra Scott.  Super duper excited.
Met up with this beauty for some trick or treating fun.
What a crew!  That would be me, the hunting widow, all alone dragging poor Dutch out for trick or treating.
Quite the little group!
I did get slightly distracted by these adult treats.
These girls always, always have a good time together!
Holly had the great idea to get rid of our candy by doing a little reverse trick or treating.  You can read more in Katy’s post here but we grabbed the kids and most of their candy and headed to the library on campus to hand it out to A&M students studying.
Sometimes these two work together so well and it makes my heart happy!
Friends who dance together…..
Also have to go watch their bros play football together!  Last game of the season and our boys are rivals.
I’d say they changed just a little this past year!  I somehow missed the memo that we were meeting up after the game so I am so glad Holly shared this with me!
Tuesday was the last day for this gang to workout together as we have one defector!  Amber we will miss you.
Love me some Karly and hair day is always a good day.  I cut off an inch and it feels like 5!
For real my kids had nachos with bacon and cheese for dinner….mom of the year over here.  But for real..why didn’t I make some of those for me?!
I was super excited to tag along for Dillon’s field trip but after days of pouring rain I opted to wear my wellies and it was a good call.  And just in case you are interested the red cups at McDonalds don’t say Merry Christmas either!  🙂
 Ahh…teenagers!
Oh how I love this kid!
Redeeming myself with a real home cooked meal!
Had lunch with this beautiful friend who I have put off seeing for way too long.  I could hardly wait to give her this special cuff.  You definitely don’t want to miss reading all about her journey on my Queen Bees post this month.
Enjoying a little change and having hot tea in the evenings.  I love to have hot tea once the temps cool off and this pumpkin spice is just the right flavor for November.
My friend Lisa showed up bearing gifts on Saturday!  One of my very favorite wines and she picked the perfect wine tag.  She brought me the word block because she has known me for 25 years and cannot believe how in love I am with a dog!
We made it to Kyle Field but were extreme 2%’ers and left before halftime.  Misting rain does not make for a pleasant game experience.
And while we were at the game this boy bagged the first deer of the season!  In case you cannot tell he is super excited.
No explanation needed…none….I saw this and was like Amen!
Carly Jo spent Sunday with my in-laws in Houston celebrating my Mother-in-laws birthday.  She said it was “the best day ever” without me of course.  Surrounded by Mimi and two great aunts and you can see she walked out of Kendra Scott with something for herself as well.
And now we are off to a somewhat blah start to week 46 but I’m hopeful it is going to turn around quickly!  The rain brought with it something that my allergies are not happy about.  Hope you all have a super week!
