The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 22

·
It appears this blog has been hijacked by college baseball and my real job!  There has been lots going on around here and no time with my computer outside of work.  Here is a quick look at our past week.

Day #145

Everyone loves starting the week with a holiday!  Dillon was able to catch up with friends for a movie.
While Carly Jo was busy getting caught in the rain with her BFF Holden.

Day#146

We got our door ready to make sure we keep track of our “Not so Bummer Summer”.  You can read more about that here if you haven’t already.

Day #147

Carly helped put together Sonic gift cards with a printable to thank the kids teachers for a great year!

Day #148

Carly has had a great year with these two amazing teachers.  Both will be leaving our school for new opportunities and they will be missed!  The room moms coordinated a fun ice cream float party on Thursday.

Day #149

Last day of 7th and 3rd grade.  These two have grown so much this year!  Dillon especially has made a big transformation.

We headed to Fort Worth and my brother’s family joined us for the first game of the TCU regional.  The frogs won and my nephew, Myles, was super excited to see his big cousin Riley.  No matter when I see Myles the first thing he always asks is “where’s Riley”.

Day #150

The rain held off and we were able to enjoy a fun day at the Fort Worth zoo.
The kids even got a dip in the pool before heading to another nighttime baseball game.
TCU lost game two and sadly we sat and watched as a kid took a 97mph fastball….pitched by my boy…over the center field wall for the go ahead run.

Day #151

Back to the ballpark for game 3 & 4 and the Frogs came through with wins to stay alive.  We drove back to College Station after the game…late night!

Day #152

Keith and I both went to work Monday morning and headed back to Fort Worth after lunch for the last game of the regional.  Things were not looking good and we were down 4-1 before they brought Riley in.  Things went from bad to worse and he was not in control and it was so hard for me to even watch.  By the time the coach pulled him we were down 8-1 and it was looking like the season was coming to a close.   I always try to find God’s purpose in a situation and Monday night I believe it was time for some boys to shine who are not always in the lime light.  These boys came off the bench and out of the bullpen and they shined!!  They took advantage of the competitions errors and the fans went wild and the atmosphere was crazy.  TCU came back from losing 8-1 in the 7th inning to win the game in the 10th.  I was worn out today from going through all the emotions I felt yesterday.
This week is so busy at work and while I’m glad the kids are out of school things are still a little cray cray. I am feeling a little overwhelmed and out of sorts right now and I know that is partially due to not having much sleep.  If you are up to praying for a sister I could sure use some lifting up, specifically when it comes to trusting God’s plan and letting go of things I cannot control.  Thanks friends!  Hope you all have an amazing week.
