The Queen’s Chronicles – Cheers May!

Welcome to the Queen’s Chronicles were I share a little of life lately, mostly in screenshots of insta-stories or shots snapped on my phone.  The quality may be sketchy but the memories are worth capturing!

This girl stayed with her Honey for 5 whole nights while her mom was in Las Vegas!  She was so happy (just look at her smile!) the entire time and we loved having her even though it was almost like having a toddler in the house again!

On Tuesday Carly Jo had her dance recital and I love this picture I captured of her a we were working on makeup.  She seriously is just changing at a rapid pace lately.  I know before I blink she’s going to look more like a young woman and less like a child so I’m going to try and soak it up!

She is happy to have her friend Kendall back in town and it’s especially fun they are in dance together.  Kendall was our neighbor when they were little but then she moved away for several years so it was a nice surprise this year to have her back.

Every time they perform this dance it gets a little better!  So fun to watch.

Our dance studio splits recital into two nights and Carly’s bestie, Holden, didn’t dance until Thursday so we headed back up to watch.  Holden recently had a growth spurt and is taller than CJ right now and it has definitely been driving her nuts to be the shorty.

Dillon had 7 on 7 all day Saturday in Houston but we let the boys handle that while we took care of the important stuff like pedicures!

We also ordered groceries!  I have had really great luck with using Click List and I seriously love how much time it saves me. I also managed to tackle all the laundry!

Keith made it back in time to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with me!  The kids both headed for sleepovers so it was a night alone we weren’t anticipating.

Sunday we were still childless and headed for brunch at our fave little spot before heading to Sam’s to pick up the remainder of our groceries.

I spent pretty much the rest of the day like this!  It was amazing.  So many things I should have/could have been working on but I am so positive I needed this downtime.

Carly sent me this text from her friends house and I laughed so hard.  She’s a girl after my own heart!  If you are really up for a grand time on a sleepover you might want to tidy up before Carly Jo comes over!  The girls seriously reorganized and purged her friends closet.  Y’all, they are 12!!

I call this winning for her friends mom!!

Sunday evening we had our first event as members of the National Charity League which is a mother and daughter organization where we will be serving in our community.  She is so very excited!

And if you haven’t joined the fun yet, there is still time!  I’m hosting the #MomsRockMayStyle challenge on instagram with prompts created around songs!  You have total liberty for creative expression here and can join by tagging a photo with the hashtag in your feed or on insta-stories.  I’m tickled pink to have so many sweet friends joining the fun!  Here are the looks from the first week fo prompts!

Here is week 2!  And if you don’t know….a snapback is a ball cap!  I’d love to have you join the fun. So if you aren’t already, follow me here and join the fun!

This week we are heading into May full blast starting with Teacher Appreciation, on to STAAR testing, dance auditions, Mother’s day in Corpus Christi, a business trip and more 7 on 7 football.  No rest for the weary around here!

Cheers to tackling May!
