The Queen’s Chronicles

·
Our first full week of summer is in the books!  Carly had a great week staying with some others her age at a private home with a sitter.  She was able to swim almost every day and already has a great tan!  Dillon had several sleepovers and a fairly relaxed week.  Evidently I took the week off too and didn’t bust out my “big” camera even once.  Sadly the quality of these pictures isn’t the greatest but the memories were much clearer!

Dillon stayed the night over at my friend Holly’s on Sunday night to hang with his bestie.  I had to crack up when she sent me this picture Monday morning. Evidently the couch just wasn’t comfortable enough.

Tuesday night I had a workshop after work and was super excited to grab this sparkling water….until I tasted it.  PSA….not worth trying.

Now this stuff I would definitely recommend!  We use this when roasting veggies.

Summer would not be summer without silliness and late night Sonic runs!
Thursday night Carly said goodbye to her bestie for a few weeks.  She is off to visit her grandparents in California!  So exciting.
National donut day required a stop by Shipley’s before dropping this girl off for the day.
And when it’s summer you get to join mom for happy hour at your favorite restaurant!
You think Dillon is self conscious about his height??  These boys spent the entire afternoon at the pool.  I can’t believe they will be starting high school!!
I finally opened up the Nordstrom box that arrived on Thursday from the half yearly sale.  Decisions, decisions.  Obviously when I’m not feeling my best up top I focus on the feet!

Saturday morning we decided to try a new place for brunch only they save that for Sundays only!

We decided to dine off the regular menu regardless and it was yummy.  Great burgers and perfectly cheesy fries.

Then we loaded up and headed off for baseball!  We love that we can take Dutch along.

Seriously y’all….I took this picture not 5 minutes later!  I wish I could fall asleep like this.

This park is owned by the school district in Franklin, Texas and it has great walking trails and a pond perfect for exploring.  I’m so glad Dutch does so well off the leash when we are there and he’s able to have a little “free” time.

Shortly after we finished our walk a huge storm passed through and even though we were under cover we got soaked.  These baseball sisters made the best of it with a game of fish!

The best baseball dog!  He really does fit just perfectly into our family!

On Sunday the boys headed back to baseball and I drove down to my hometown to have a late lunch celebrating my nephew’s graduation from college.  Carly packed her bags and is staying with my mom this week!  The boys arrived home and we grilled up some chicken and veggies and called it a weekend!
Other than that it’s pretty much just been regional baseball on TV for us!  I’m not gonna lie….it’s looking like a match up between TCU and Texas A&M again and this year in College Station and I could not be happier to NOT have a dog in the fight!!

Wishing you all a super week!
