Summer Loves – Embroidered Top

My current summer loves include this sweet embroidered top and a mild break from the summer heat this week with a teeny cool front. While it is still quite warm the humidity is low and in the shade it is actually still pleasant outside. It’s the perfect time to pull together a sweet little outfit like this!

A quick browse will find embroidered pieces in just about any style you could want. I will say the pieces seem to run a little big as I’m typically a medium but took a small in this top.

One thing I’m not loving this summer is the current state of my body. Being on the road so much lately has made it hard to eat healthy and who doesn’t want to indulge a little on vacation? I’ve defintiely been living my best fast food life this summer and my closet is becoming smaller and smaller because nothing fits!

Here’s the deal, I’m all about accepting myself for who I am on the inside, but the fact is when I don’t feel good about the way I look in my clothes I can get a little bitchy on the inside. It’s definitely time to be accountable and stop the madness! If I had a nickle for every week this summer I have said “on Monday I’ll start xyz”.

Dieting is definitely not a fad I choose anymore but eating food for fuel and not fun is a healthy mindset I need to get back to. Adding back regular workouts also fuels my mind in a positive way and the lack of physical activity this month is really pitiful.

So here’s to not waiting until next Monday to make a change! Today seems like a great day to get back on track so what I’m wearing Wednesday doesn’t just become what I wish I was wearing!

These white shorts are amazing though and have been on repeat for weeks because I sized up so they actually fit! For under $20 they are a great length and have just enough stretch. My sandals have also been a fave summer purchase and they also come in cognac and gold.
