Style Six – Tried and True Picks
Had I known how this year would turn out, I may have chosen my word of the year to be unprepared! Ha! I feel like I am just constantly running behind in everything that I do and rarely do my thoughts catch up. So, while I’m sure you would love to see how I’m styling something new, this Style Six chick has not one new outfit to show you.
What I do have is a few of my favorite things I’ve grabbed in the past from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that are tried and true favorites.
For some reason my favorite Zella leggings have not sold out. They are my fave to workout in but I also love them for a casual day on the town. My fave feature is the side pocket which makes a perfect place to stash your phone or a lipstick.
I also grabbed my first pair of wedge sneakers last year during the sale and wore them like crazy. This brand doesn’t appear to be a fan favorite but I give them 5 stars. These wedge sneakers are still in stock in black, camel and a cute animal print. I have walked literal miles in these shoes and love them! If you aren’t into the wedge but love a great slip on sneaker in a fun print, this animal print pair are so cute and I guarantee comfy.
For so long I watched these shoes hoping for a sale and last year I finally grabbed them during the NSALE. I LOVE them and wear them with any outfit when I need something neutral. This years the version looks almost the same with just a little change to the block heel and they are 50% in multiple colors and one great snakeprint. If you need a simple heel that looks great dressed up or with jeans for a date night, this is your shoe!
They are an investment as far as jeans go, but I probably grabbed this pair 4 years ago as part of the sale and they are still going strong in my closet. I love the dark wash and the slight bootcut. They are probably one of my most flattering pair of jeans and I love dressing them up for date night.
If you are looking for a boot cut at a much more reasonable price and wash with a more boho vibe, this pair gets super high ratings always. I have some jeans from this brand and you definitely want to follow the rec to size down.
I know, sweaters right now are a hard thing to think about, but this one has been a tried and true staple in my closet for probably 5 years! It has stayed in such great shape, is lightweight enough to layer even in our mild winters, and is long enough if you size up for leggings. Did I mention it is cashmere and so soft? This blue is the only color remaining in the sale!
It took me a couple of years, but I finally grabbed the spanx leggings and then figured out how to wear them! Last year, thanks to my wedge sneakers, I wore them tons in a more casual way.
While I did miss out on a few items I was really wanting to try, there are still plenty of boxes headed my way so you can bet I’ll be rushing home to beat my husband for the next week or so. Ha! I’ll try on my finds as soon as they arrive.
