Prom Pics 1.0

Carly is tying up her junior year but headed to prom at her rival high school with her bestie Holden who is about to graduate! These two have been best friends since they were born and it’s been a joy to watch their frienship blossom over the years. They are alike as they are different but compliment one another so perfectly much as her mom and I do. I love how free they are to be themselves when they are together! But don’t be fooled, they also hold each other accountable and have their own identities apart from one another. They are beautiful, sassy, and silly but I wouldn’t trade them for anything!

Carly found this dress and we quickly ordered from the Macys friends and family sale. It also comes in red and black. The corset top did not have a bit of give so she sized up for a more comfortable fit. She found these darling pearl strap sandals at a local boutique and they were a splurge but will look equally as cute with casual dresses or jeans. The simple pearl jewelry she found at Threads Boutique locally and it was perfect. Of course her shoes were quickly dropped and replaced with her vintage havanas because if this girl loves anything it’s being comfortable!

Dinner, dancing and after prom at Big Shots golf made for a great night! They were only sad that the prizes at after prom took too long and they missed getting to Raising Canes before they closed at 3:30am. It gave me heartburn just thinking about eating that in the middle of the night!

They managed to get in a few hours sleep before we headed to Taylor Swift the next day but they were all smiles. I don’t know what they are going to do without one another next year as Holden will be heading off to college. The best of friends, more like sisters really. Love them so much!
