Mothers Day Wish List
A few days ago I saw a meme that compared the younger mom self to the now mom self in regards to gifts at Mothers day. I remember those days secretly hoping that my sweet husband would get it just right and guess an amazing gift for me. Bless his heart. Not to mention the truth of it all, I’m not his mom! Truth be told my favorite gift is to have all my kids together and on their own willing to spend some time with me but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t use Mothers Day as a chance to make a wish list and buy a gift for myself! After all, I’m a great mom and I deserve it!
So here are a few items on my wish list this Mothers Day along with a few others I own and love. Shhh…I may have already purchased a few of these!
Last night I went to a preview of the new Kendra Scott store here in College Station and fell in mad love with the new watch bands for the Apple watch. I refrained and did not buy one for myself but feel like I’ll be trying to find someone who wants to use their birthday discount on me as soon as possible!! Y’all, they are so fun and so beautiful and would be an instant upgrade to any apple watch. I did grab the butterfly earrings because butterflies remind me of my momma and I also think the heart ring stack is so much fun.
In February, I decided to try out Pure Barre and change up my workouts. It took me a bit to decide if I liked it enough to continue but flash forward 2 months and I’ve committed for a year! This old body is loving the workouts that feel easier on my joints and the community has been just what I needed. Helps that it’s like 4 minutes from my house! The Bala Bangle wrist and ankle weights were on my list and I already grabbed them and love them! They fit so well. I think these are great for any mom wanting to up her workout game even if the workout is walking. I’ve been popping them on every chance I get. So many fun colors to choose from too.
A few years back Taylor and Riley gave me a digital frame and I have loved it. This one also works with Alexa! I love that they can upload pictures from anywhere and it’s so fun when something new pops up. These make amazing gifts for the grandmothers in your lives too if they have wifi! It’s definitely been one of my moms favorite things to sit and watch the pictures scroll.
I’m not sure why it took me so long to try out the Soma Cool Nights pjs but I finally ordered a couple of sets and I’m obsessed. They are a splurge where pjs are concerned (at least for me) but they are so comfortable. Right now they are on sale and you can sign up for their email for an extra discount.
It takes a special mom who wants something for the kitchen for Mothers day, but if you have someone who loves to cook and have a lovely kitchen, the items from Our Place are a win. I gave my Mother-in-law the Always Pan for Christmas in her favorite sunny yellow and she loves it so much she told me she wanted the knives too. So, she is getting the knives bundle for Mothers day!
Of course, any kind of splurge that pampers a mom just a little bit is a perfect way to honor mom too! A facial, a massage or a night away…alone….I’m in for those too!
Any of these gifts would make this mom smile, but all my kids have to do is show up and eat a meal with me that I don’t have to cook (or pay for) and my day will be made. Maybe a sweet homemade gift from my Haisley girl would be fun too!
