December Style

Good morning! The house is decorated and for all intents and purposes I’m ready for Christmas. Somehow my heart hasn’t quite caught up yet. I’m not sure why, but I just am not feeling super merry. I have been trying to pull together outfits that give off at least a little holiday vibe as I continue to try and rally!

I’ve embraced the fact that I don’t have a standard “trendy” body and know that not every current trend will work for me but I love the look of the loose, wide legged pants and finally grabbed a pair for myself. Yesterday I pulled out this very old green vest (this years style on sale) that has always been a favorite and love how this look came together. The trick with the high waist, flowy leg is apparently to pair something fitted on top and the turtleneck did the trick.

I did wash these jeans for the first time last week and was a little disappointed to see how much they have shrunk! Typically I would have worn with heels but tossed on my neutral nikes instead as we had a Christmas get together at Big Shots Golf. It was the perfect casual look with just a touch of Christmas cheer.

Last week I pulled out this dress from last years family photo shoot and dressed it up for work with a tan sweater blazer and my suede booots. I love the colors in this dress and it feels festive. It comes in a ton of colors and is a really great flowy fit. It is only lined to the knee so if that is something that bothers you this is not the dress for you.

I guess you could say I’m in “fake it until you make it” merry mode. At least I’m trying to look the part! Holiday grief is no joke and if you are feeling not so merry, hop on over and read this post from several years back when I shared some advice…..heading to read it myself!

Hopefully you are embracing all the joy this season and feellng merrier than me!
