Friday Favorites – #NSale Round 2

·
Another week of summer has flown by!  Big push at work this week to finish up the annual budget and now that the individual departments are all done we can get to work on reconciling.  You are all jealous right? Actually this time of year is always my favorite because I have the opportunity to work with and assist so many people around campus. Nothing like feeling needed!
Let’s get right down to business.  Unless you have been under a rock the past week, you know the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to EVERYONE today!  I’ve been shopping and then shopping some more because a) free shipping AND returns, b)only one item I have ordered has arrived and somehow I believe by ordering more things will show up faster and c)there are STILL so many great items available!

Last week I shared my #NSale Top Picks and I have updated that post to identify items which have since sold out.  I believe a few have already been restocked once.  Super duper sad about those Kendra Scott earrings because I ordered only to receive an email this week notifying me the order was unable to be fulfilled.  Oops!

Today I’m sharing a few more of my favorites!

Bags are something everyone loves and some will reserve a lot of $$$ for. I’m not a bag lady.  While I love the look of a great bag, it’s often not practical for me to swap often.  I’ve pulled a mix of a few “cheap” but still stylish picks as well as some designer picks.  I personally am having a super hard time not pulling the trigger on the blue Rebecca Minkoff!  The Weekender bag would make a super duper Christmas gift for sister, daugter, mom…heck even a guy could look uptown carrying it.
I know Frye boots are pricey, they are definitely an investment piece but I will tell you they smell heavenly and after ordering a pair last year I’m totally sold.  I wore mine all fall and winter and know they will be part of my closet for a very long time.  Typically I ask Jordan to browse the sale and pick a few things out she might like and these Melissa Tab Riding Boots were totally on her list.
All of these things just keep calling my name and I have been thinking about all the great ways they could be combined to wear across seasons. This Socialite Cowl Neck Dress comes in 10 different color combos but I’m digging this stripe and the olive best.  I really think layered with a utility vest such as this linen one by Caslon and a pair of cute booties would help ease into fall.  Once things cool off pull out a faux leather jacket such as this one by Blanknyc and some over the knee boots.  These Dolce Vita OTK are stinking adorable especially the back.  I am for sure going to be so envious later this season when I see some cute outfits styled with these!   Bell Sleeves seem to be in for fall and this Lush dress caught my eye.  While I love this pattern there were 10 combos to choose from.  Not sure it will be long enough for me but you just never can tell…and like I said FREE shipping & returns.  The perforated look seems to also be in for fall and I ran across these Hinge booties and really like the color.
I’ve really wanted to try the NARS blush for a really long time and the anniversary price seems like the right time to check it out.  I’m still debating but have this in my cart.
I’m always looking for a few extra gifts for the girls in my life and, if I’m honest, for myself!  I would seriously wake up Christmas morning with a smile if any of these things were in my stocking!  Am I the only one who thinks shampoo is exciting?  I’ve been loving the Living Proof Shampoo but not sure I can afford it long term so this little discount might buy me a few extra months!  How fun are these PJ Salvage pajama pants?  I love the Kate Spade jewelry with little hidden words inscribed and this one comes in four different jewels all with a different saying.  Last Christmas I gave several pair of these sparkly Kate Spade earrings as gifts and I have loved seeing my friends and family wear them all year.  They are back on the sale but I’m also loving this simple pair of studs under $25.    I’ve tried Stila products several times in my Birchbox and at $20 I think this little set would make a great stocking stuffer.
New school shoes are definitely something my kids will need and I grabbed the Nikes for Dillon while Carly wanted a fun color so the Asics are on their way.  She has also really been into shoes like these Steve Maddens and her birthday is coming up so I grabbed them.  The poor girl has been limping along through the past two winters with the same coats and jackets and they were at least a size if not two too small so I picked up both a lighter weight and heavier jacket both by the North Face.
So what is the one item I’ve received so far?  This Happy Camper t-shirt! I’ve been wanting one for some time and when I saw it on the #Nsale I had to grab.  We will be dropping our kids off at camp over the weekend and you can bet we will all be happy campers.  I’m always a happy camper when I’m able to have a little one on one adult time with this pretty girl too!
The majority of my order should arrive today (maybe I should have left some water and a snack for the UPS guy!) so I will be trying on and showing you the things I end up keeping and/or loving soon!
So how about you?  Have you shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary sale yet?  Happy Shopping!
