One saying we have here in Texas that is absolutely true is if you don’t like the weather just wait a day! Goodness this past week we have seen it all…..cold, rainy, nice spring like weather and sometimes all in the very same day! Here is a little sample of what I’ve been wearing.
I took my Christmas money and did a little shopping at my friend Sandy’s boutique, Burlap & Pearls. I would have never in a million thought this little top would have worked for me but it is just precious and was actually very flattering. The back has a sweet little scoop and I felt so great wearing it with my skinny jeans and boots. The Ingrid tunic can be found here. I can see me wearing this year round.
I also bought this cute red vest. I love the vest look but most of the time I end up feeling bulky and they are not so flattering on me. I bought this vest for my daughter for Christmas and I knew I had to have one for myself. Super cute and lots of fun details. Unfortunately for you I purchased the very last one! This vest is still in stock in both white and navy and if you love toggles you need to check it out!
And you have probably already seen me post about my favorite Hudson Beth baby bootcut jeans. I have serious love for these jeans and you can find them on sale right now here. Definitely a little more than I typically pay for jeans but at the sale price and taking into account how much I love them the price per wear is definitely worth the investment! Here’s a 2nd look.
I am just seeing J. Crew Factory has puffer vest on sale so just in case you are wanting to add a vest to your wardrobe these options are available as well as in navy, cream and black!
I FINALLY received a Blardigan for Christmas and let me just reassure you….the hype is REAL! I have snuggled up in this sucker every possible opportunity.
Rainy and cold and I pulled out all the stops with my cozy GAP sweater from last year paired with my skinnies and red wellies but I added this new scarf that I scored at 75% off in the Old Navy men’s section for $4!!
Loved this sweater and gingham shirt combo inspired by a picture I found on Pinterest. I posted a little more about this outfit and how I took it from work to play. Read Gingham for the Win for more inspiration.
If you follow @QueeninBetween on Instagram you know I tried to return this fab coat to Forever 21 but I was one day past the return date. I’m going to go ahead and consider this a win for me! So I started the day dressed like this and it was 37 degrees outside.
Forever 21 Coat here
At lunch I had to shed the coat as it was close to 70 or at least it felt like it after having no sun for the past few days. Sometimes you just can’t go wrong with black on black.
I threw on my lighter weight military jacket just in case since my office is often cold. Same basics just changed up a little to match the Texas weather.
