Friday Favorites
Happy Friday! I personally feel like I’ve fit two weeks inside of one. It’s been busy, challenging, and actually really exciting. I’m so weird and really love being able to problem solve and help others so it’s kind of been my jam this week at work. As much as I have been scrambling to nail down answers, I bet it was nothing compared to those poor programmers and customer service peeps at Nordstrom yesterday right? My mind is blown by how many people (including my crazy self) must have been up shopping to crash the site so early in the morning. Crazy!
Lots and lots of discussion on social media I saw last night surrounding this mass hysteria. I have zero against the Nordstrom sale and shared what’s currently in my cart (well not anymore) yesterday. It’s fun to me but I personally do not feel “pressure” to shop. If you don’t have the budget to shop the sale, DON’T! If you don’t love the items you are seeing DON’T buy them just because you see me or any other person claiming it’s the greatest thing ever. If you are spending even one minute of your day stressing over whether the item you want is going to sell out before early access is over, I’m giving you permission to move on. Y’all, this is just not worth the stress and if it feels like stress toss it out of your box.
And that’s all I’m going to say about that! Instead, I thought I’d share some things I’m loving that have zero to do with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Ha!
I started my week with a fresh chance to choose LOVE first and decided wearing this shirt was a great first step! I definitely want to be seen as someone who loves all people, gives abundant grace and showers others with kindness. If I’m keeping it real there are so many times I let the pressures of this world take over and instead I’m short with those I love and irritable to friends and coworkers. The bitterness does not look good on me I can tell ya that! And you know what else? It’s mentally and physically exhausting! It takes so much more energy to have a sour heart.

So you guys seem to love this little top as much as I do! I do not pop in boutiques as much as I use to but happened into one in Houston’s City Center a few weeks back while I was making some returns. One of my readers asked if I could share the link and I wasn’t really sure I could find it but low and behold the boutique is actually online. Beware….if you love embroidery there are so many cute things!
And this right here y’all…this right here may have been the highlight for me this week! I lead a really exciting life. Yeah, only 3 things this week because #reallife and I’ve really gotta get out of these lemon pj’s and onto work. Still debating whether or not to wash my hair which is really not debatable if you saw me!
