Five on Friday

Spring is always an exciting time around our house and by exciting I mean FULL.  Every single weekend this month we have some sort of event and when you toss in our weekly activities as well it makes for a tired momma!   The struggle to mentally remind myself there are only so many hours in the day is REAL right now.  Trying to remember my word of the year, enough, and the quote “whether it gets done or is left undone at the end of the day I am enough” but some mornings when I walk in to the dirty dishes still piled in the sink it takes every bit of restraint not to lose it!

So, enough of that crap!  Let’s move on to something more joyful like the fact that it is FRIDAY!  Here are a few things I’m loving right now.

We are heading for Carly’s last dance competition of the year tomorrow!  She was not feeling so great last weekend but still spent two days in classes and competing.  This year she has grown so much as a dancer and I love seeing her do something she’s passionate about.  She has also made some new friends which is always fun!

Mirror | Throw | Oversize Pillows | Velvet Pillow

I’m sure by now you ALL have heard of Opalhouse!  Last weekend while Carly Jo was at dance convention I browsed the collection at Target the day before it was live online.  Such adorable stuff!  The textures and colors are all just beautiful and if you like the boho look you have to check it out.  I was really just looking for a few new pillows to brighten up my living room for spring but when I turned the corner and saw this mirror I seriously may have squealed!  I’ve been looking for a mirror to complete a little space in my living room and so far just had not found one I loved.  This was is pretty perfect and pulls together all the colors in our living room from browns to greys.  The blues and greens in the throw and the pillows also worked perfectly in our living room.  I’m still debating on the oversized pillows and have ordered smaller ones to try out.  I also ordered this cute floral print to mix in as well as these round beauties!   As soon as I get settled I’ll post a picture of the final arrangement.

I have been looking for new kicks for quite some time and finally settled on these Addidas.  Y’all, seriously these shoes are so darn amazing that last weekend I planned all my outfits around them because I just didn’t want to take them off!  They are an investment but finding a comfortable pair of shoes is huge for me if I want to be thinking about my workout instead of my feet hurting.  I’ve had plantars off and on for about 5 years and I need good arch support and these shoes are perfect.  Plus did I mention they seriously feel like a sock?

Fitting in workouts is huge for me because I need this both physically and mentally. The past few years I’ve been struggling to find my rhythm and was splitting my time between two gyms.  This month I moved my membership completely to one and upgraded to add strength training back into my rotation and I feel so good about it.  I’ve been sore (the good kind of sore) and it so helps to have my accountability partner also at this gym!  Working out with a friend is definitely a favorite.

If  you missed my Wednesday post, I received a new Stitch Fix and it was so fun!  Hop over to see what I ended up keeping.

We all had a good laugh this week when Wilson baseball glove posted this picture of Riley on their instagram from glove day at spring training.  Riley is now back in Texas starting his season in Corpus Christi with the Hooks.  Having him close enough to visit is a huge plus so we are excited.

Hoping you all have a beautiful weekend enjoying some spring like weather!  We have storms rolling in later today and I’m looking forward to a quiet evening before we head off in separate directions on Saturday for dance and 7 on 7 football.  Whatever you do this weekend just remember it is enough!!
