Scarf Swap Outfit Inspiration
I am a sucker for a cute scarf so when Rachel and Astleigh announced they were hosting a scarf swap I jumped in feet first! I was excited to find out I actually would be sending a scarf to Astleigh and you can see her post here. I think she rocks that little baby bump and the scarf.
I was so excited when my package arrived from Kim. You can find this mamma blogging over at Life as I Know it. I ripped right in and found this beautiful blanket scarf. I am always picking up fall scarfs with oranges, reds, navy so I had nothing at all in my closet in these shades. These colors really are perfect for winter and bonus they are in my color wheel!
I was initially stumped, however, at what I was going to pair it with and started brainstorming outfits I could create from my closet.
Initially I pulled together this flatlay…..please excuse the fact that I was toying with using an extra mattress pad for a backdrop. #flatlayfail #saythat3timesfast I laid this outfit out with every intention of pulling it together the next day for pictures.
Overnight, however, I instead dreamed about this pairing and as soon as I put it together I was like YES! I love this striped dress so much but have pretty much only worn it from May to September. Friends, I think you might see this make an appearance soon! See how I paired floral with this dress over the summer here.
I seriously cannot wait to wear these Frye boots!!
For a more casual look you can never go wrong with stripes right? This scarf is going to work so well with navy so I figured why venture any further.
Ever want super natural looking photos of yourself? Hire two 10 year olds to work the camera. Nonstop goofs which thankfully produces my real smile!
I’m definitely thinking Kim gave me the perfect scarf to add to my collection. I can’t wait for the temps to cool down enough for me to wear it!
I almost always wear dangly earrings but with a blanket scarf there is just so much bulk it becomes a little challenging. These glitter Kate Spade studs were the perfect touch and seriously I’m finding they go with everything!
Thank you again Kim for the beautiful scarf! And thanks to Rachel and Astleigh for hosting a fun exchange.
