Black and White – Work to Play
Is there really a simpler combination than black and white? Every time I put these two together the result is always a win. I’ve had most of these pieces for quite a while and I’m sure have worn some combination multiple times.
And these cage heels, well they have never once let me down for work or girls night out. Mine have been sold out forever but I am loving these with a block heel from the same designer.
Even the short walk to the car during the summer months can have me sweating so easily shedding a jacket is a huge plus.
So many nights I’m rushing home and only have a few minutes to change before heading back out for kids activities. I was pleasantly surprised with this easy combo. Of course I’m always grabbing for the J. Crew Factory shorts in 4″ or 5″ and this time of year they are always on sale. I also snagged this pair of Cabernet 5″ from J. Crew hoping they will be perfect with a white top for some Aggie football soon!
The blue jean vest really brings the satin tank down to a more casual level and it’s now perfect for carpooling kids around or heading out for dinner.
The gladiator sandals from Target have definitely held their weight this summer. They are comfortable while also holding up really well.
This was such a fun look to pull together! While the top outfit worked really well for the office, I have to say I was most pleased pulling together the more casual option. What do you think?
Do you have a go to color combo when you are feeling a little lazy in your closet?
