The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 23

·
Things have been a little wild around here and I’m so behind on updating our weekly happenings!  Here is a quick view of what our first week of summer looked like.

Day #153

My poor little buddy has been passed around a lot lately and when I picked him up from daycare on Tuesday he could barely keep his eyes open on the trip home.
This girl convinced me she “needed” ice cream at 10:30 on a Tuesday night….it’s summer so why not!
And these two went to teen night at our local bowling alley.  It seems unreal that I could be dropping them at teen night already!

Day #154

Carly’s front tooth has been chipped for quite some time and she asked about 6 months ago if we could have it fixed.  She was super excited with her new smile.
And this one had to have a filling…y’all when he came back to the waiting room he was a total goofball from the laughing gas.  I could not quit laughing.

Day #155

Carly spent the night with her Mimi and Dillon had baseball practice so Keith and I whipped up dinner and actually ate on the patio.  It was nice just having an evening to talk uninterrupted with no distractions.

Day #156

If I had a picture it would be of me catching up on all of our laundry!  Lots and lots of laundry on a Friday night…so glamorous.

Day #157

Game 1 of Super Regionals and the much anticipated series between TCU and A&M.  This was a hard one for me.  I did not graduate from A&M but have worked there for 23 years and have supported the Aggies at sporting events often.  The majority of people I encounter daily are Aggies and so many people would be at this series.  My sweet friend Holly who is the biggest Aggie fan I know was so sweet and wore a shirt with a heart divided; maroon on one side and white on the other with a #12 in purple.  I was so happy to have her with me.
The McJanac’s for a quick tailgate before the game.

Day #158

This lady right here may be tiny but she is tough!  I cannot even imagine being married to a head coach at a Division I school and all the ups and downs and stress that comes with that.  She is the sweetest soul and though we have only known each other from a distance and through mutual friends, she was so kind to me and it meant the world!  Thank you Amanda…you are a rock star!
Not only are all our friends Aggies but our family too.  Carly was excited to see her cousin Abby at the game on Sunday.  The Frogs lost game two.
10 innings just didn’t seem like a complete day of baseball so I headed to Waxahachie where Dillon’s team was playing in a tourney.  I may have mixed a drink when I arrived but that’s what Whataburger cups are good for right?
When we arrived the boys were down 6-1 and came back to win the game.  They went on to play the championship game and won that too!  Dillon pitched 4 scoreless innings after being a little wild in a short outing the day before.  Someday I’m sure I will toughen up a little but this pitcher’s mom gig is taking some years of my life.
Thanks to all of you who have followed along and been so supportive of our adventures!
