Work the Skirt

I am one of those girls who actually loves dressing up for work.  Our office has become much more business casual over the years so gone are the days of business suits but sometimes I just don’t feel as professional in the more casual attire.  Last week on one of our warmer Texas days I pulled together this look and was feeling quite sassy!

I found this flowerbud top while shopping in Vegas and quickly fell in love.  It works great tucked in as I’ve worn here but also looks great worn loosely with pants or jeans.

I’ve had this J. Crew Skirt for several years but the hemline had come loose and I finally made my way to the tailor to have it fixed and it was a perfect pair with this top.  J. Crew Factory has 50% off everything right now with no exclusions!

Of course I’m still totally in love with this Stella & Dot striped bag!  It holds my 15″ Mac perfectly as well as my planner and whatever smaller purse I decide to carry.  The straps are the perfect length for me.  I would LOVE to help you earn a bag for yourself by hosting a trunk show so be sure to contact me if you are interested!

There is just something about a great pair of heels too.  I’ve been wearing so many booties instead and it’s been so long since I’ve worn a basic heel.  These Michael Kors pumps are anything but basic! I scored then on sale over a year ago and can you believe I had never worn them?  Please tell me I’m not the only one who participates in such madness!  They were so darn comfortable and I won’t be wasting time watching them sit in my closet from now on.

I’m loving how this came together and have already added a couple of skirts to my shopping cart at J. Crew waiting for a good sale.
