What’s up Wednesday! Today I’m sharing some looks and co-hosting the Style Six linkup with my sweet blog besties. I’m also linking up with ShaySheaffer.  You can find the questions in pink so check it out and join the fun.  You can also find me joining Welcome Wednesday and sharing some looks with with all my favorite weekly fashion linkups.

Let’s go…..

What We’re Eating

We are still eating at home as much as possible and packing our lunches for work. Our dining out budget had been ridiculous for the last few years and I was thrilled to see we cut it more than in half the month of January.

One thing I grabbed this past week to use for some quick meals were salmon and mahi filets at Sams Club. Since we are focusing on low sodium I have to be careful on items like this as many have added sodium for preservation but I was definitely excited to see these two only have one thing in the ingredients!

My favorite thing to take for my lunches right now is this mexi-cauliflower rice dish. I’ve been heating it up and tossing on a bed of lettuce with a little Tessamae ranch and it’s so good!

What We’ve Been Up To

It’s only February and I have already watched so many innings of baseball! He’s off to a great start for senior year.

And if I’m not on the baseball field I’m at a dance competition! Carly has grown so much as a dancer the last year and I love seeing her perform.

What I’m Dreading

Finishing our taxes…blah.

What I’m Working On

Just doing the next right thing. If I’m being honest, I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed with all that is going on in my life right now. There are so many really wonderful, exciting things like Dillon’s senior year and a grandbaby who will be here so soon but there are also some really hard things too. Reeling my mind back in and focusing on the very next step I have to take instead of derailing and cratering when I feel so out of control is a battle for me somedays.

I found this verse on Monday and it’s been keeping me going all week. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

What I’m Excited About

Today I’m joining a few other local influencers for a little photo shoot with one of my favorite local boutiques. It is a little chilly but I know we will have fun.

What I’m Watching/Reading

February Book Review

Monday I shared what I’ve been reading or listening to on audible lately. Two books that have been added to my list this week based on recommendations from several friends are the Tattooist of Auschwitz and You are the Girl for the Job.

I watched Miss Americana on Netflix and really loved it. She is just so incredibly talented and it was interesting to watch some behind the scenes. Evidently I’m just not that deep because I heard others discussing the fact that it felt left a little unfinished in some respects on the personal side but I honestly have a daughter who is her age and can remember being this age and, well, I was definitely still figuring things out for sure.

What I’m Wearing

Last week I shared some of what I’ve been wearing lately with the bipolar Texas weather. I also ordered a ton of stuff that has been arriving from the Presidents day sale but haven’t had the chance to try them on!

Similar Skirt | Jacket | White Tee

I will be wearing this skirt on repeat now that I finally was brave enough to style it! Y’all, I have had this skirt since probably September and wore it for the first time this week. Sometimes I just cannot pull the look together but finally decided I’d give this a try and I LOVE it! This jacket is definitely my favorite new addition. It’s the perfect weight for a denim jacket in Texas and has a little stretch and is perfectly distressed with a fun raw edge. I initially ordered the large (wearing here) but received the medium this week and I will definitely be swapping it out so I would say it is TTS.

Wedge Sneakers | Dress | Skirt | Bodysuit

I finally posted a little tryon on Instagram with a few pieces from the Hi Sugarplum resort collection. The reviews on the dress were not too good but I found it to be a great little staple piece and love that the material is soft but heavy enough to not be see through.

The A-line of this denim skirt is so good though as are the pockets! It is definitely more than I would normally spend for a denim skirt, but I also rarely fine one that fits my shape. Still debating.

A sweet reader sent me a message to let me know my wedge sneakers are on sale at Nordstrom rack and I am ordering another pair (or two). These have been my most worn weekend shoe since I grabbed them during the anniversary sale. I think they are super comfortable, TTS and were easy to break in.

What I’m Doing this Weekend

Dillon is scheduled to have his senior pictures this weekend so I’ll be doing the senior mom thing!

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

March is full of some fun plans! Even though baseball always trumps spring break for us, Keith and I are getting away for a couple of nights at this fun little hotel.

Carly Jo and I will also be headed for a girls weekend with our besties! We traded birthday parties for roadtrips a few years back and we always have so much fun. This year we will head back to Houston and see what kind of trouble we can get into!

What I’m Loving

Even though Valentines day is past, I couldn’t help but share this adorable look of Laura and her sweet daughter for my favorite from last weeks Style Six linkup! They are just so darling. Be sure to linkup your favorite looks and you could be featured next week!
