The weather here in Texas has been a bit bipolar and besides keeping everyone on their toes with wardrobe choices it also has our allergies all a fuss. Personally I would love for it to stay a little cool so it feels like Christmas.
I love skirts but often have a hard time finding one that fits my body. They are either too tight across the hips or too big in the waist. The latter really drives me crazy as the skirt is constantly shifting sideways all day long. I found two skirts recently that have fit perfectly. The first is this cute wool blend from J. Crew Factory which you can find in this exact color along with several other beautiful and fun colors here. The color is Bohemian Red…I loved it even more when I saw that! I paired with a jacket from White House Black Market that I purchased 5 years ago on my 40th birthday weekend. I love it as much now as I did then it just needed some new life.
The second skirt is from Ann Taylor loft and can be found here. I love the heavier material and the perfect amount of stretch. It looks nice and stays in place.
I found these jackets from Ann Taylor and I think they would look great with this skirt as well. The Cheetah coat is officially on my wish list!

I purchased this necklace from a vendor at Nutcracker Market 5 years ago as well and I love when I find a way to wear it. Isn’t it fun? And yes, they really do!
We have our work Christmas luncheon at a semi fancy restaurant today and I would almost guarantee I will be wearing one of these two skirts.
Happy Hump Day!
