Just a few random things I’m thinking about as we finish off winter and start heading into spring!
This time of year I always start itching for a new bag. I am not really a “bag” lady so I don’t have a huge stash in my closet but I do like to have a couple to rotate. I have been using a large and neutral colored Kate Spade probably since this time last year fairly exclusively for every day work activities and sometimes I need to carry along my laptop. While I have been able to squeeze it in the fit is tight so I am kind of debating a new tote. I ordered this one which seems to be popular and I know it would work and it’s on sale.
I then saw this one and it is still at a great price point. I loved that it can function as a tote but the strap also makes it look a little more fashionable if I did not need my computer along.
Of course I am a sucker for a fun cross body and purses on sale in a great color too. Loving all of these options.
1 – Sole Society Tassel||2 – Rebecca Minkoff Fringe||3 – Michael Kors Large Bowery||4 – Street Level Crossbody
Scarves…are you over them and ready to move on to fun spring accessories? Well you might want to grab one of these at the current prices under $10! I love both of these and the fact they are light weight enough for spring and fall in Texas.
BP Plaid Scarf…Also in a burgundy plaid
If you are ready to move on to spring accessories here are a few I’m loving! I actually have this faux pearl necklace but only recently saw the tip on the J. Crew Factory website that it can be worn unclasp as a full length piece! Two necklaces in one! This new cuff by Kendra Scott has me absolutely swooning! I’m always looking at these fun statement necklaces but never seem to know just how to wear them correctly.
Lipstick is one of the very hardest purchases for me. I feel like I look so blah and naked without a little color on my lips but standing at any counter full or aisle full of lipstick color just overwhelms me. Then last week I read women over forty should not be wearing dark colors on their lips because it makes them look older. Yikes! I’m doomed to look 80 in a heartbeat for sure. So yesterday I arrive home to my monthly Birchbox and it contained this lipstick from Pop Beauty in Cozy Crimson. The color is beautiful, the lipstick smells amazing (I know why is that important) and it seriously stayed on my lips for hours.
So maybe I can just wear it while I’m lounging around the house sipping wine and looking old! Color on my lips makes me happy!
Still, it’s almost spring so I will be looking at changing up my lipstick a tad. Here are some I’m considering. I wore lots of Origins lip pencils in the past but the colors are all fairly dark. These Kisszing sticks seem to be a lighter version. I’ve used the BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipgloss in this color, Trail Blazer, before and forgotten how much I liked it so I will be picking up another. I currently have MAC Twig lipstick and I like it but even with the lip primer I just don’t feel like it stays. I’m thinking I’m might try Loreal Julianne Nude for more than half the price and top it off with gloss.
