The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 46

·
Week 46 and we are closing in on the holidays.  This time of year can start to be a little crazy and I’ve been working on having an Attitude of Gratitude this month along with my friend Holly.  I’m super excited about the gift my friend Kim at Hunt and Host is wrapping up for December  Head over and see read all about it and join the fun.
Here is a little at what our week 46 looked like!  The calm before the storm I’m sure.
Carly Jo loves making sure my coffee is ready in the mornings mainly to make sure I’m on time!  This past Monday she even included this sweet note.  Love her so darn much.
Tuesday night Carly sang her little heart out during the Veterans program at her school.  We are so blessed to have an amazing music teacher who is so passionate.
I have been LOVING the weather this week.  Finally some good weather to roll the windows down and sing loud!
This is why I stalk my kids on Instagram!  I do not know how he is already big enough to have a special girl.  Eek!
I’ve also been loving all the Instagram style challenges.  Definitely has making getting dressed and shopping my closet more fun!
Thursday night I helped co-host a Swap ‘Til You Drop event with my friends Holly, Katy & Cindy.  We asked everyone to bring 5 or so items and everyone came and shopped for free.  A few friends made a great haul!  Everything left at the end of the night was donated to a local charity.  This was so much fun.
My mom took Carly home with her for the weekend and Dillon went to the local football game so we were able to have a little date night!  Love time alone with my dimpled guy.
Saturday morning I took Dutch for a long walk and saw these beautiful flowers.
We headed to Houston to watch this boy play in his last tourney of the fall season.
Funny how he & Riley are so very different in personality and build but when I watch their actual motions on the mound they are so similar.
And just like Riley was at this age just a little bit wild!
And y’all….can I just say what a difference a year makes??  This is Dillon just one year ago during fall baseball!!  He is so much taller but also just much more mature looking.  No more baby face.
Sunday morning we were up super early heading back to Houston and were able to see this beautiful sunrise.
Look what finally arrived!!  The rug I have been drooling over for over a year finally went on sale and I decided to take a chance.  Keith helped me get it in place and oh my gracious it is just what I was wanting!
Exact Rug here and I ordered the 8X10
Love a man that knows his way around a kitchen!  We used leftover roast sautéed with onions and jalapeños for tacos….my fave!
And then we ended the night with this….was much yummier than it looks but this smores dip was delicious.
Ready for a busy week ahead!  Hope you all have a super week!
