The Queen’s Chronicles – Week 15

·
We have been busy this month but it has been at a manageable pace which has been nice.  Of course part of that has been because we have started off the month with weekends at home instead of spending the night away and that just seems to make me feel a little less crazy.
Here’s a review of our life lately!
Day #96

Monday afternoon this boy had his braces removed!  I’m always so shocked at the instant maturity from such a small change.

Here my sweet boy is just a short 18 months ago!

Day #97

These two were over the week and it was just beginning…they really didn’t want to stop the snuggling for school.

My day was feeling like a Monday for the most part and this happened!  I dropped a canister of Spark all over my beloved 10 key.

I ended my day watching my boy come in to close a baseball game on the computer.  I wish I could see him in person for every game but this is a close second.

Day #98

I met one of my besties and her son downtown for a little photoshoot.  I have watched this boy grow since he was born and it was so fun taking his senior pictures.  Not fun having my camera start to fail on me halfway through.

Hopefully we got a few shots that will work!

It was then girls night out with these lovely ladies.  I have not been running with them since the half marathon and have missed seeing them.  There was a lot going with this group and we spent 3 hours catching up!

Day #99

This sweet girl wanted to make cupcakes and wanted to do it herself.  Dad was supervising the egg cracking!

We had new neighbors move in a few doors down so she was excited to take a few to welcome them to our neighborhood.  Bonus they have a child in her grade….minus it’s a boy.  Maybe we can find some common ground!

Day #100

Dog days of summer are getting closer and Dutch could not be happier!  Fridays are daycare days and he loves riding in the car.  I know…he’s adorable!

Day #101

So Dillon was suppose to play baseball in Round Rock this weekend but before we hit the road the tourney was cancelled.  No worries…his 7 on 7 team was playing a tourney in Katy so we packed up and hit the road in the opposite direction.

Riley didn’t love football so it has been fun for me to watch Dillon play.  He really loves playing football just as much as he loves playing baseball so it will be interesting to see which direction he takes.

It was wet and nasty but these boys looked great despite only winning one of three.  Time for more work but you could tell things were starting to click.

Day #102

I finished this gem and it is such a great read.  It doesn’t hurt that Melanie from the Big Mama blog is about my age, had very similar childhood memories and arrived in college station about the same fall I did.  This book will inspire you to be a better friend….go get it!

I added a new word to my vocabulary too!  The fun part of watching Riley pitch on TV or the computer is hearing the sportscasters talk about him.  Today they said “the much ballyhooed pitcher…..” and I was like what the heck does that mean?  I have an accounting degree folks give me a  break!

We ended our day on the patio listening to the thunder rumble in the distance while Keith grilled all the meat we could find.

And there may have been a kickball game that consisted of lots of arguing about the rules!

Someone loves to be on the other side of the plate!

I think we may be good on protein for a few days!

Hope you all have a super week!
