The Queen’s Chronicles

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted in the Queen’s Chronicles so this is a little more than a weeks worth.
My girl is always being drug around to baseball but she is a really good sport.  She even did some posing for me so I could get the light right for some outfit shots while we were in Missouri.
If you missed our Missouri Roadtrip you can catch up here!
We spent July 4th at my friend Katy’s house with all these cuties!  I love that Dillon was willing to hold the littlest guest!
This was as good as this crazy bunch was getting.
Carly was actually excited about sparklers and not afraid this year!
Holly is always so sweet to grab my kids when they head to volunteer at the Foodbank!  These girls worked on stuffing bags for Seniors and you can tell they have teamwork!
They spent the afternoon at Holly’s and made these cute rag bags out of two dishtowels!  Impressive.
My oldest daughter wrote this beautiful post to share on my blog in case you missed it!
I headed to my hometown for my….I guess you would call it ex-nephew’s wedding.  These two are always just so fun to hang out with!
And we were so excited Riley brought his girlfriend down to spend the weekend with us.
On Sunday Carly and I hosted a special lemonade stand with her friend Holden.  My friend Michelle lost her daughter, Sydney, 3 years ago and this was the anniversary.  Michelle wanted to focus on how Sydney lived instead of how she died this anniversary and so we raised money for Sydney’s memorial fund.  Sydney was a special girl and I have so seen the Lord work in Michelle’s life through this tragedy.  You can read more about it in Leaving a Legacy
Dutch Buddy said it was way too hot!
Carly & Holden started Creative Arts Camp at the First United Methodist Church on Monday.
Looks like these too had a little fun with my phone on the way home from camp!
Carly bookmarked all the recipes she wanted to try from the Skinny Suppers cookbook so I put together this supreme pepperoni pizza pasta and it was delicious!
One of our gym buds is moving on and we had a little going away dinner with her.  Four of us plus our trainer have been together for the past 3 1/2 years griping about the workouts but holding each other accountable for showing up!
Carly chose the group Heavenly Cupcakes at her Creative Arts Camp this week so every day when I pick her up she has had some new cupcake design to show off.  She & Holden have devoured all before I could get a picture so I finally snagged this one!
I grabbed a 6-pack of my favorite summer beer for the first time this summer and it was so refreshing!
Friday morning this kid had his annual physical.  Y’al, I just cannot even believe the growth this kid has seen.  He measured 6’1″…and 1/2.  I mean look at those feet!!
The Creative Arts Camp puts together a full fledged musical to conclude the week and these girls did a great job.
I’ve loved seeing these two enjoy each others company as adults!  My boys last night in town before heading back to Orlando to start his rehab.  (he made it safely yesterday!)
Sissy went to float the river which meant we got to babysit Pesto for the weekend!  Aunt Carly was thrilled.
 And got all the sugars!
A lot of times when I order I have zero clue if something will work for me so I was super surprised this little Gap plaid popover top did.  It is super soft, true to size and comes in several different plaids.  I am a sucker for a popover! I also ordered a spaghetti strap tank in plaid and will let you know how that worked!
We spent Saturday night with our friends for dinner and the girls had fun playing board games and harassing the poor little sister.
I’m pretty sure this is how my grandparenting skills are going to go….Pesto does all kinds of things I do not allow Dutch to do!!
Sunday afternoon we headed to Houston with my in-laws and my mom to see Wicked!
Makes me happy that this is still okay!
We stopped to grab a bite at Sweet Paris where we shared a Crepe stuffed with “real” food.
Before devouring this one!  Holy moly….nutella, strawberries, bananas, whipped cream and ice cream.  It was amazing!
Super excited to share this with Carly Jo!  She loved it!
While I was gone, Holly grabbed the boys and their bikes and headed to Texas A&M campus to let the boys do some Pokemon Go hunting!  Yes…I believe they are obsessed with finding them and we are obsessed with this new opportunity to spend time with them.  You can read Holly’s post Why I’m Ok With My Son Playing Pokemon Go!
This was pretty cool!  The boys will actually be class of 2020 from high school!
Hope you all are having a super summer!
