The Queen’s Chronicles – Thanksgiving

A long weekend is always something to look forward to but one where I get to have all of my kids together in our home is the sweetest. We were all split up for Thanksgiving day lunch but came together to have a non traditional dinner of steak and some yummy sides. I also tried a cheesy pull apart bread that was devoured in about 15 seconds! Watching my family grow just makes my heart so happy.

Haisley is just growing up so fast and she is so much fun right now! I bought her a little blow up bed and, while she hasn’t quite agreed to sleep in it at night at Honey’s house, as soon as she gets to the house she starts telling me that she “needs” her bed. We set it up in the living room with a few of the kids blankets I’ve saved and Aunt Car Car pulled out a stash of stuffed animals she had hidden away. Everyone had to take turns laying in her bed with her!

All of my kids still live in town just a few miles from me so they don’t spend the night but they did come back for brunch on Friday! I made a breakfast casserole and baked homemade cinnamon rolls I purchased locally. There were 1000 other things I could have done with my day off but nothing that would have filled my heart more!

I spent the rest of the weekend at my moms and made my Meme’s dressing on Saturday for my brother. My big kids were at their dad’s side of the family for lunch but stopped at my mom’s house on their way home and it was the most I’d seen my mom seem like herself in so long. She was so happy to see them and it was so sweet to see her with Haisley. I was so wrapped up in the moment that I failed to take a picture of them all together.

Now it’s back to work and getting my house ready for Christmas! Here are just a few quick pictures from our time together.
