This weeks What I Wore is all about working it…..at work! I thought it would be fun to put together outfits to show I can often be seen wearing at the office. I work for a university and while we do dress for an office lifestyle we are held mostly to a more business casual look. I’m linking up for What I Wore Wednesday with the Pleated Poppy
We are still having some 90 degree days here in Texas and dresses are still an easy way to bring some fall style without smothering during the day. We have two fun boutiques in town, Tres Chic and Witts End and I can get myself in a lot of trouble by visiting either of them! They both carry the Ivy Jane and Uncle Frank line and I have purchased so many of these dresses over the years. Most come in patterns and styles that cross seasons and continue to be trendy enough from year to year. I have had each of these for several years and I still love them both and always receive compliments when wearing them.

Isn’t this pattern fun? I was seriously shocked when I saw a picture of myself from several years back wearing this dress! Older than I thought but I still love it. The Ivy Jane and Uncle Frank brand are more of an investment than I typically purchase but the price per wear is definitely worth it!
Here are two looks that are a little bit more on the business side but I loved them both. I have not worn shirts tucked in for several years because I didn’t think I could pull it off but I will definitely be creating more outfits like this in the future.
I love, love this belt. It is wider than alot of the skinny belts you see and perfect for wearing with pants. I also really love Banana Republic slacks and they are 40% off right now.
I snagged a pair of red Hunter rain boots a few weeks ago on sale….they are suppose to be a Christmas gift from my mom but I had to try them out first…shhhh…it’s our little secret! I loved pairing them with this striped J. Crew Factory dress and my new plaid scarf.

And lastly this little tunic was the perfect choice to take me from working all day to a social event in the evening. I love a cute tunic and the timely arrival of a cold front was enough for me to pull out my tall boots!
My tunic was purchased at a local boutique but a cute option from Anthropologie can be found here
That’s how I work it! What are your favorite things to wear to the office?
