Snow Day – Style Six
Today I’m joining my Style Six sisters and sharing what I wore on our snow day! Grab your favorite look of the week to share with us.
As I shared in my post earlier this week, we had a snow day here in Texas! It was quite a treat as I’ve only seen inches of snow fall like this four times in my 50 years. It was beautiful! It began just after lunch and continued to come down in heavy flurries until around 6pm.
Of course living in central Texas means our closets aren’t necessarily prepped for this kind of suprise! I layered up the best I could before heading outside for a little snowball fight.
This sweater has been around for years and is the softest cashmere blend. You can still find it in several variations on sale. The blue is just such a fun pop of color in the winter dn’t you think?
Layered over my favorite plaid purchase of the year then topped with a reversible vest, I was ready to play. I grabbed this vest on a trip with my Style Six sisters in 2019 but found the exact one on sale for $29. It’s been a favorite.
Of course my red wellies will always be a favorite anytime I need a little extra waterproofing. They have been hanging around in my closet for at least five years and I don’t see them leaving any time soon.
While I’m not sure I’d love living with the snow for days on end, it was such a treat to have it snow on a Sunday when we were all home and able to enjoy the simple beauty.
