Show and Tell – Top 5 Pictures

·

When Andrea challenged us to a Show and Tell Tuesday with our top 5 pictures, I really had a hard time believing I could actually choose only 5!  Well…I couldn’t but you know, if you label one as a bonus that doesn’t count as cheating right?  I’m also still working on converting pictures from my old Mac to my new Mac and was too lazy to fire up both!  I adore these people and it was certainly hard to choose as I have so many favorite pictures but here is what I came up with due to the story I see when I look at each one.

I adore this picture!  Finishing college while raising this girl wasn’t easy.  Add to it a second baby two months before graduation and things were just a tad crazy.  Being a strong woman and teaching this girl to also be a strong woman was so incredibly important to me.  I look at this picture and remember those last two years of college and how there were days it was so tough but never once did I believe graduating was an option.

You guys have all seen parts of Riley’s story but this picture right here was probably my favorite ever.  He had just pitched the last out in the Super Regional series against Pepperdine to send TCU to the College World Series.   Riley rarely showed emotion on the field so to see him explode was huge.

Right now this picture is huge to me!  This little boy is all but gone but knowing the love we have between each other will survive even if it is not quite as outwardly obvious is such a blessing to a momma’s heart.

Oh little missy.  She completed our family perfectly and even though she was the center of attention she has never been spoiled about it.  She may be in the foreground but this girl puts the rest of us on a pedestal and looks up to each of us in a special way.

My man crush every day!  He is never hotter (sorry kids) than when he is out doing what he loves!  The joy that overcomes him out on a boat in the bay or sitting in a deer stand reminds me of the guy I fell in love with.

Bonus!  Dutch Buddy came into our lives 2 1/2 years ago and I had zero clue before how much I needed him.  As the kids have gotten older and I have become less and less “cool”, I’ve got this amazing little dude who is my shadow at home.  He quickly became part of our family and everyone loves him.  As Carly once said “mom, our family just seems so much more normal now that we have a dog”.  Exactly!

Whew!  Y’all, there have been years I’m positive I’ve taken 40K plus pictures so this is not an easy little post.  The one thing I can say, those candid, unposed, every day shots are often my very faves!

Can you narrow down your Top 5?
