Royally Waiting (Link-up #13)

Welcome to Royally Waiting!  I’m so sorry to be late this morning friends.  The last 9 days of school around here have been rather hairy.  Dillon ended up with six projects due this week which means his computer time is much more important than mine!

Needless to say the thing I’m waiting on most is that last day of school!  Even though I still have to work during the summer, just having a more relaxed schedule with no pressure of homework and school activities is a nice break.

I initially planned to show you guys the three dresses below in hopes you would help me choose one for a work function next week.  After looking at these pictures I’m fairly confident all three are going back.  If I photographed myself in everything before removing the tags I would definitely be more selective.

Maggy London Pleated Floral|| I really love this print and it is something so different from anything in my closet.  I really think it would work well with a black jacket for my function.  There was something just a little off about the transition between the top and bottom hit me that wasn’t 100% flattering so for the price tag I’ll have to pass.  The quality of Maggy London dresses is tops and I always love browsing this brand.

Eliza J Stripe||Again, love this dress and nothing like it in my closet but I think you guys will agree the fit just wasn’t working for me.  Carly loved this one and the exposed zipper on the back is super cute plus it has pockets!!  I also think it is a tad too short for a work function so it is also heading back.

Tahari Sheath||Definitely my favorite of the three and also the best fitting.  Keith actually really liked this one but honestly it still did not give me 100% confidence.   Back in the day this is the style I wore all the time but I’m way curvier on bottom now and it makes me more self conscious.  This dress comes in royal blue and fuschia and really has a great stretch to it.

What is a winner, however, are these sandals  I snagged last week during the BOGO 1/2 off sale at Target.  Target shoes and clothes are very hit or miss for me but these shoes are a huge win.  I wore them to church on Sunday, all day at a conference on Monday and again Tuesday to work.  There was no break in period and my feet felt great even after logging over 6K steps on Monday.  Grabbing these under $30 might be my best investment in a long time.

I’m heading to see the Corpus Christi Hooks play in Frisco this weekend so I’m hoping to have some in store shopping at Nordstrom to find the perfect dress!
